It isn't that you are not allowed it, but it isnt very good for dogs, slipping etc, Imagine cartoon characters when they start to run and its like running on the spot, thats what happens with dogs on laminate, their pads cant grip etc. Great Danes run bigger and harder because of the sheer volume of dog, so injury is more likely on unsuitable flooring.

    Thanks Bitsy & Claire xxxxx

I am sure you will pass, dont worry.

Ok, honesty thread, in my last house I had a Great Dane and a Cocker Spaniel (before GD I had a GSD) The whole of the ground floor was laminate flooring or ceramic tiles. Yes zoomies were hilarious.
Prior to living there I had a 2 up 2 down no garden tiny, tiny yard with GSD and cocker spaniel. Max has been transported for the last five years in a fiesta with the seats down. For the last two I have had a garden with no fences. Need I continue. Rescues can go over the top with regards to requests and wants but in real life you can make anything work. I am also on GD Owners forum (both as cherisong and Moo I think) not been on for a while. Got fed up of people judging others but that happened when it got really busy. I went on there before I got Moo and there were some really knowledgeable and helpful people on there.

Deep breaths and you will be fine. Any home checker worth their salt will see that you will make a fab companion for a GD.

Meant to add Moo has never hurt himself on laminate floor, nor have my GSD and cocker spaniel, just in case you think I am a bad dog owner.

Zoomies! I love the name - one of my cats used to do zoomies on vinyl flooring, by the way - the other one was too heavy, but on my beautiful little grey cat it looked hilarious :)

    Morning everyone :D

Woke up in a right grump this morning due to tiredness (DS up in night) and my glands are up again :( Have a killer mouth ulcer too, a sign I am run down or just unlucky?
Anyway had a coffee and although still tired I am trying to shake off the bad mood (for the rest of the family's sake if no one elses LOL).

House was a tip so have spent an hour this morning tidying stuff away. Again!

Thought I'd revist my goals for 100 day challenges with updates:

Eat one piece of fruit a day - not eating fruit every day but have eaten more than I normally would (which in the past was zero!!!)

Re train myself not to reach for the biccie tin - this is a work in progress :o

Get the website up and fully working - Nearly completed, need to add T &C's

Start making some birthday cards and pick some craft projects - Well in light of recent decisions I am still going to craft but perhaps not at the levels I orginally envisaged. Haven't made much progress in this area but I am not going to push myself too much or I'll get demotivated.

Catch up on my accounts - Completed yipeeeeee!!!! Next goal really to be to stay on top of them each month.

Be happy and present in the moment - Still working on this.

So some successes and others a work progress.

Have a good day everyone, sending lots of positive vibes to you all :D

  • Bitsy Beans - Just wanted to say thank you for sending positive vibes - sending them straight back to you. Try to be kind to yourself if your feeling a bit run down. And well done with setting some goals - I'm still thinking about what mine should be. I have started reading the secret, and I am intrigued, now I need to go do some 15 minute bursts of sorting, got lots to go on ebay, and a house which could do with some attention, so I might be a while! Got my baby grandson coming to stay tonight, so need to be organised so we can play all day.

Glad the ebook made it through OK. I do think doing things in 15 min bursts is the way to go, that way you don't get too fed up, little and often :) Just need to actually practice this now LOL.

Have fun with your grandson :j
