No offence here either. i got over myself a long time ago. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0

Cheri & Crickett what fantastically positive attitudes you do have - it's a heck of a thing you have to deal with and yet your method of facing it is inspiring. I wish more folk would take that approach rather than feeling that it is their right to be able to have kids, regardless of whether their body is right for it or not. It's a subject I feel strongly about!
I'm on the other side of the coin - I have known since I was very young that I have no desire whatsoever for kids. Good luck to those that do, it's a good job there are enough of you about to keep the world going, but it's not for me. I've encountered some amazingly hostile reactions to that in the past too - I've literally had people telling me that I am "not normal", or that there must be something wrong with me, and have regularly been accused of being selfish! I'm actually relieved that, the age I am at now, if people hear that you don't have kids they don't usually feel as though they can probe as deeply as they would really like in case it turns out that you've tried, but can't, as then of course they, the questioner, would feel embarassed. People also assume that you must dislike kids, which for me isn't true at all - I love spending time with our nieces and nephews, and for some reason our little 6 year old niece adores me!I'm the same kind of aunt as you Cheri - we always make sure we buy at least one present for each that's totally impractical and usually noisy to boot!

Well here's one for the mentors :rotfl::rotfl:. I have a sister-in-law who is a qualified masseuse and beautician and I'm lucky enough to get lots of freebies. She's been at me for ages to get waxed instead of plucking and shaving (ahem). So I went after work today for what was supposed to be a leg and eyebrow wax and got talked into getting the bikini line done as well. (not sure why cos at 52 even though I'm still size 10/12 I dont indulge in bikini's:rotfl:.).
The legs and eyebrows weren't too bad , but the bikini line was :eek::eek::eek:. I'll leave well alone frm now on. :rotfl:It'll be eyebrows plucked and legs shaved or epillated.
So ladies, waxing............or............shaving. ????????
Feel free not to answer :rotfl:;).
I always have taken fertility for granted- feel very humbled girls. I apologise.0 -
