Bitsy beans I bought a jewellery roll in wilkinsons for 25p I thought it would be ok for you to use as a template??? if you want to make them??

Oh yes, it would be good to see how they made it. Did you buy it recently? Wondered whether I could pick one up myself.....

Lovin' all the first date stories.

I first met my H on an interview, he was standing outside the building smoking which I thought was odd for a bum so I assumed he worked there :rotfl: Turns out he did and I got the job. 2 years we were friends as he was in an on/off, on/off, on/off relationship but there was always this fantastic chemistry between us. Sounds trite but I think I loved him from the minute I met him but never made a move due to him not being available. Forward on to him splitting up and us having a bit of a snog one night. Cue lots of him faffing about where we were going, didn't want to spoil friendship etc, had a couple of weekends away together camping.......before I finally told him I loved him but what the hell were we doing. He told me he loved me too and then we were an "official" couple. So no first date for me :rotfl: That was 15 years ago, been married for 7 this year. Not always been easy, what relationship is but I know for definate he's my soul mate and my best friend. Well when he's not welded to his blackberry phone ;):o

Off to an OS meet in Brum today which I am really looking forward to meeting some of the lovely ladies :D

Hope you all have a productive day today :D

Wanders in, sits on sofa with cuppa looking like pulled through a hedge backwards and thinking "must get me wellies on and take Moo to forest" will do that when tea has woken me up.

  • Morning all!
I was busy yesterday so missed all the fun, and just caught up, love all the stories and ideas! The 'reasons I love you ' is great - and :rotfl::rotfl:at the idea of a slap jar too!

And the first dates are lovely. Mine and OH's - well it wasn't really a date as such, we already knew each other through a club and had spent some time together, I thought he was a bit weird at first but he kind of grew on me :rotfl:Anyway the first time we went out together I invited him to come badger-watching :o (no smutty ideas now people). As it turned out we didn't see any, but it caught his interest I guess, he's still here almost 9 years later. Best things about him are his patience with me when I'm tired and stressed and cross about everything, his sense of humour, and the way he goes along with my odd ideas, even thinks they are good!!

Well it's busy here, still getting used to this self-employment malarkey, a week or so ago things went very quiet and I started to worry, now it's busy again so that's all good :j

Hope everyone's good and/ or getting better!

    Well good morning :)

    Lovely stories :)

We are having a good clean through today, not taking long either cause its stayed pretty tidy here all week.

Just had my new oak sideboard delivered :) Still have a few things to do in the dining room , but it's nearly finished :) everything is on hold at the moment with dh's broken arm.

I have had a think about challenges,

I too would like to stop biting my nails :)
need to loose the weight that I gained over xmas and another stone at least
do more exersise when my back allows.
and finish getting the house sorted.

Does he clean up when the cats have furballs? That's real devotion

Yes, he does. :D And he tidies away the dead bodies of rodents when one of the kitties brings them in. And he rescues me from spiders *shudders*. He's all round fab.

He is also supremely irritating. But can't live without him, can't bury him under the patio! :D:D

Our date last night was lovely. We saw Nicola Benedetti play Vivialdi's 4 Seasons, and a young lady called Daniela Koch play one of Vivialdi's Flute concertos, and some Mozart and Bach as well. It was fabulous! :D:D:D

My first date with hubby is up for debate actually. I think our first one was when we went to see Forrest Gump at the cinema and scandalised some of my friends by walking hand in hand! :D Or our other first date was when we went to see Lion King during the Christmas holiday from Uni - and our first snog was on Platform 2 of Nottingham Train Station! :) oh yeah, glamourous!! :D

My 100 day challenge is starting well as universe arranged me to come across an article from Swedish newspaper today. It was about the Saturday school where I take DD every other Saturday. I was wery pleased about how much I was able to understand.

I got a new book today (I know, not part of my budget and I do have too many of them already) and one sentence really got me: "Don't wait until you have no more suffering before allowing yourself to be happy."

I am off to read more before blizing the kitchen. That is the biggest thing at the moment causing suffering to me :rotfl:
"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

  • On the topic of boy meets girl, here is something I was sent last week: sorry if it is old hat, I hadn't come across it before and it made me giggle: it looks sexist to start with but gets balanced out in the end

    Dear Technical Support,

18 months ago, I upgraded to Girlfriend 1.0 from DrinkingMates 4.2, which I had used for years without any trouble.

However, there are apparently conflicts between these two products and the only solution was to try and run Girlfriend 1.0 with the sound turned off. To make matters worse, Girlfriend 1.0 is incompatible with several other applications, such as LadsNightOut 3.1, Football 4.5, and Playboy 6.9.

Successive versions of Girlfriend proved no better.

I tried a shareware program, Slapper 2.1, but it had many bugs and left a virus in my system, forcing me to shut down completely for several weeks.

Eventually, I tried to run Girlfriend 1.2 and Girlfriend 1.0 at the same time, only to discover that when these two systems detected each other they caused severe damage to my hardware.

I eventually upgraded to Fianc!e 1.0, only to discover that this product soon had to be upgraded further to Wife 1.0. While Wife 1.0 tends to use up all my available resources, it does come bundled with CookingPlus and Cleanhouse2008.

Shortly after this upgrade, however, I found that Wife 1.0 could be very unstable and costly to run. Any mistakes I made were automatically stored in Wife 1.0's memory and could not be deleted. They then resurfaced months later when I had forgotten about them.

Wife 1.0 also has an automatic Diary, Explorer and E-mail filter, and can, without warning, launch TurboStrop and Multi-Whinge.

These latter products have no Help files, and I have to try to guess what the problem is.

Additional problems are that Wife 1.0 needs updating regularly, requiring ShoeShop Browser for new attachments and Hairstyle Express which needs to be reinstalled every oth er week.

Also, when Wife 1.0 attaches itself to my Saab 93 Convertible hard drive, it often crashes.

Wife 1.0 also comes with an irritating pop-up called MotherInLaw, which can't be turned off.

Recently I've been tempted to install Mistress 2007, but there could be problems. A friend of mine has alerted me to the fact that if Wife 1.0 detects Mistress 2007, it tends to delete all of your Money before uninstalling itself.

    Help requested please!

    And the flip side...

    Dear Tech Support:

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in the overall performance, particularly in the Flower and Jewellery applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 un-installed many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5 and then installed undesirable programs such as: Football 5.0, Rugby 4.3 and Cricket 3.0.

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs; it simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, to no avail.

    What can I do?

    Signed,

    Desperate

    >From Tech Support:
    Dear Desperate:

First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an Operating System.

Try entering the command: C:/ITHOUGHTYOULOVEDME to download Tears 6.2, which should automatically install Guilt 3.0. If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewellery 2.0 and Flowers 3.5. But remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0, or Beer 6.1.

WARNING: Beer 6.1 is a very nasty program that will create Flatulism 6.2

CAUTION: Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-law. This is not a supported application and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. I personally recommend Hot Food 3.0 and Lingerie 7.7.

    Good Luck
