  • Hi there

I lurk on this thread occasionally (not guilty of any nasty PMs :(). Tescodealqueen - somewhere in the above post you have included a link to a smiley on the matrix website. This means that whenever someone accesses this page, it is popping up a dialog box asking for a login and password for the matrix forum. I'm sure this is not what you intended to happen and I don't suppose MSE Andrea will be over-enthused about it either. :)

Just thought I'd mention it because it baffled me for a bit, so may be baffling other MSE users as well.
So that's why that window is appearing again - thanks peaceandfreedom.

Trying to convince myself that it is just coincidence that posts about this thread not being supportive appeared after my last post - if so I apologise.

The spring bulbs up here have more sense than to surface yet.:p

Lifestyle. We have long planned to grow our own vegetables so by April I will have a small area of the garden ready for summer. I will have grown small plants indoors ready to plant out, will have started a lovely herb garden.

Remember to keep an eye on the freebies board for free seeds, etc. Discount vouchers forum too for codes for gardening suppliers - was a good Thompson and Morgan glitch before xmas, so there may be more to come. Also good thread in green fingered forum.

    Re. the following:
Eat at least 1 piece of fruit a day, 2 would be better but I don't really like fruit that much Not doing too well on this one, must try harder

How about juice instead of whole fruit. Or having fruit with yoghurt on top or with your cereal ?

I think it must be a coincidence - your post wasvery supportive and made some good points - I think others just expect different things from this thread and the fact that there are so many people on this thread will at some point mean people disagreeing. I think you made a good point so please don't worry :)

  • Another attempt without the inadvertent link from last time. Sorry for confusion folks.

One of my fifty day challenges was to decide what I wanted to do about work. I am leaving the my current job on 31 January, so I think I can say that my decision has been made
So to my next challenges, which I think will be a continuation to move me forward:

Eating. Really pleased that although I enjoyed Christmas and went off SW for a while, I put on only a small amount and and am back to pre Christmas figures already. So in the next 100 days I want to continue and lose a further 2 stone by sticking to SW easy eating plan, I am intending to have a cooking day once a week so that dinner most days will be an easy affair.

Health. Incorporate exercise into my new daily activity, have bought new trainers and finally thrown away the ones I have been wearing for the last 5 years,

Work. Intend to ditch the commute as far as possible and will work part time closer to home, so plan to have a new role by the end of the challenge that is new and interesting and that will combine with my other interests beautifully.

Lifestyle. We have long planned to grow our own vegetables so by April I will have a small area of the garden ready for summer. I will have grown small plants indoors ready to plant out, will have started a lovely herb garden. Will be doing something "just for fun" at least once a week, will be well into reading the pile of books left after my Christmas declutter and will not have bought any new ones before I have ready the ones I already have. Will have a "MSE" beauty regime that means I will have a DIY manicure and predicure once a week, a DIY facial once a week.
    And that is me............

  • Thanks I think I have deleted it now

I'm afraid I must be in extra-stupid-mode this morning because when I quoted the posts with the matrix smiley, my own post also included the matrix smiley - very silly of me, I have now edited my posts to delete the smiley link. Trouble, you can't see the smiley link unless go into View/Source to look at the code behind the web page.

Dinner break for me :) left over stew from Sat evening, made with my bargain 50p meat offcuts from the farmers market :)

well Master bedroom I can now see the floor instead of piles of folded clothes ready to be put away, all clothes have been put into everyones piles and put in their bedrooms , put mine away and dh's on ottoman.
Stripped bed, and remade apart from duvet cover (not something that can be done one handed :))
Just need to wait now for ds1 to come home to give me a hand with the duvet cover and put all my pressie bargains over the last week or so in the cupboard (no balance to do step ladders :()
and need to ask next door to put some black bags in the charity shop that are filling the corner of the bedroom.
