I haven't seen any 'phantom posts' on this thread of any negative or nasty nature? Or does MG mean they are all going by PM? If they are all by PM I think MG should name and shame because that is disgraceful.

As for the not replying to those of us who have sent genuine enquiries then MG please once you see the 'phantom messages' just delete without reading and then the genuine posters and PM'ers can get their queries answered.

Just try and do your business justice and give customer service and don't let some sad nasty people put a spanner in the works of your business, don't give them the head space so you can get on with business.

I know I for one have sent you PM's since I paid and tthen since attending the course and they have very very rarely been answered and could very quickly and easily have been answered so that has made me feel I will admit 'frustrated' and rather upset with the service BUT I do not think that justifies you getting 'nasty and threatening' PMs at all that is completely out of order.

I am a bit worried about MG, no posts since yesterday morning and Friday's sounded very upset. I don't want her to feel put off from coming on her own thread.
Many of us are finding things a bit tough this month, I know I am and nothing majorly horrid has happened to me, just too much work, too little money, tiredness and the lack of daylight getting me down. We need to keep supporting each other to remind ourselves that this is just a phase and if we can't make progress at the mo, it is good enough to tread water until we feel we can move forward again.

Well said Helen. As my Mum says 'We don't always have to be winning the race, sometimes we just have to run it'. Hope MG is okay and how awful that she has had nasty emails! X

I feel exactly like that, how dare some scumbag be so unkind, to achieve what exactly? Coward!
I don't post much cos you are all doing so well, I love reading about it all, but wouldn't have a clue what to say to add anything since I am kinda cynical at the best of times, however I have been worried recently.

I agree Helen, I am worried also, MG I know things seem crappy right now but we are all here for you, its been !!!!! frankly between the weather, school and your lovely Mum. You will be ok though. you are handling it all just fine.

    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • MG What a cowardly thing for people to do. Please just delete them and don't give them what they want by letting them get to you. We all know that bullys (and that is basically all they are) problems lie with themselves, but they take it out on others.

If they have not got the guts to say it openly it only shows how weak they are.

Hope that all is ok with boys/mum/life apart from the lowlifes!
  • To be honest I feel that this thread has lost its way somewhat I realise that this may be controversial but I think the best bits of this thread have gone over to the other side and I know I have received lots of support and advice there. It does mean that not everybody is getting the full picture of what's happening as not everybody is on the other forum. I realise some things cannot be discussed on here becuase of the rules as we have been recently reminded but we have lost other things as well that would be suitable for general discussion here. I think this thread has suffered because of the fragmentation. Initially I enjoyed this thread because of the mutual support and the challenges set by Mr. Big which have just evaporated.

I am sorry MG has been getting nasty PMs and has a lot on her plate at the moment but she must be able to recognise PMs from genuine people on this thread and they really do deserve a reply and several have posted on this thread asking for that courtesy but I have never seen an apology or explanation for the lack of reply. I am glad maryb you have had a pm but surely the rest deserve that courtesy too and yes certainly report any nasty pms to the forum monitors they need dealing with. It is not nice if genuine lurkers such as Ellidee feel under suspicion and the more open we are the better.

Oh Ellidee, how horrid to feel you might be under suspicion. I can't believe anyone would ever think it might be you or any of the other occasional posters on here. I'm sure there a lot of people who enjoy reading this forum but don't want to join in and there is nothing at all wrong with that. Don't give it another thought.

Maryb's post refers to posters with low post count - that would refer to your overall post count, not just how many times on this thread so Ellidee please don't feel under suspicion as clearly you have racked up plenty of time on MSE ;)

I agree I think this thread has lost it's way somewhat and it does feel fragmented BUT I disagree that all the best bits are "on the other side". Much of it revolves around business which I am ashamed to say goes over my head :o:o
What I liked about this thread originally was the fact that it appeared to buzz with positive energy. The whole "make do and mend" was at least something I could identify with and the comaraderie was fantastic. Whilst I am not complaining about the other side, I've received help and support over there but I feel it lacks the spark that this thread once had :o
So is there any chance we can find our way again? I admit I've not been a long time poster with regards to MG so feel free to tell me to mind my own but it's just how I feel ;)

Totally agree with what you said in your last paragraph Bitsy.
The business part of the otherside goes over the top of my head because I have no interest in starting a business myself but totally support other peoples intents to do so.
The positivity that flows in here is light and buoyant. It sparkles with good feelings. But its effervesence (spelling argh) has wilted and we need to bring it back. The exhuberance in here was intoxicating and there was a point where I could'nt come in here without immediately picking up on the feel-good factor.
We need to get it back....................:T
I know January is a horrible month, skint, bills, horrible weather etc and it rubs off on us all.
But on the upside, we are now into the 3rd week of January, for the 1st time in 6 weeks I can look out my window and the snow has gone. The nights are getting slowly lighter and I even managed to get some washing dry outside on the line.
And for the upside I am very grateful.
So over to the next person for something positive, (positivity breeds positivity:)) so lets change what we can and accept what we can't. :o
