WOOHOOO!! Heard from Claire - her laptop lead is broken - and of course because she can't get online she can't order another. I remember the frustration of technology all too well.

I've asked her for the make and model of her lappy and then will get online and order her one up - thankfully there are pennies left in paypal account :D If anyone feels like ordering and early birthday pressie for anyone I'm sure she'd appreciate it. She can't run an internet business without a laptop after all.

Hopefully we shall see her back here soon

I sent you an PM a few days ago and you didn't reply...did you receive it?

    Thanks
    KM

Me too MG. Not hassling for a reply immediately but hope you have got it
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!
  • Full cupboards, fridge and freezer here too! Am currently making a panettone bread and butter pudding (with a splash of baileys) and the crusts of the panettone are currently on the bird table.

We are also having Roast pork for dinner (bought form Morrisons on offer for a new year dinner that didn't happen) making extra yorkshire puds to freeze too.

Going to meal plan for the next few weeks, this is to help me use up everything without waste and also to try and kick start it as a habit - i always feel much better knowing whats for dinner.

I normally make a list of dinners to last the week, and let hubby choose which he wants day by day. For me it is easier than being set rigidly and not "fancying" that days menu.

Hope everyone else is well, and a very HAPPY 2011 to you all :D

MG - thank you for contacting Claire and letting us know she's ok. A few of us had been worried about her on f/book. I will tootle off and update there now. (goes back to lurking.)
  • Greetings Matrix bods...

Had a lovely day with my godson and all of his family for godson's 4th birthday. He has 5 siblings who hubby and I love to bits, but we always make a special fuss of him for his birthday and Christmas. Poor little fellow is more likely to have hand me downs than anyone in that house. Got roped into helping Mum and only sister clearing out sisters cupboard and clothes...and I am going shopping with them tomorrow morning. :D I have had to do some research about trends for teenagers at the moment because I have no flipping idea about them. Apparently, cardigans are big, as well as lace and fur and leather and embellishments and full circle skirts. Hopefully I will be able to help! :D

I have set my first 100 days challenges for this year, and persuaded hubby to do the same. We have also set up some spreadsheets on the computer for us to track our expenditure and do some proper budgeting. I am sure we can make some savings from doing that. I have noticed a difference already! I wonder if I will be able to hold onto my pursestrings tomorrow when I am amidst the sales! :)

:o You would be more than welcome, but the bread and butter pudding dish seems to have a fault. iI left it on the side and the next time i looked it was empty :o Can't imagine how it happened :D
