I'M BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lovely men from BT have completely rewired me from the pole in the street (Horrible job in the weather).
They had to run a 24 hour diagnostic on the line - and it only fell over 3 times which is fabulous as before it was dropping out over 30 times an hour.
I have got so much to catch up on - and I think I am about 5 Secret Santas behind ...........................
.................... so to keep you peeps going
Todays Secret Santa is for all you Sean the Sheep fans out there. Have a look at what I am making DS2 for his stocking from my stash of charity shop wool

I know - isn't he the coolest???? So far he has taken me about 90 minutes and I have done his white flufy body and his head. Just gothe legs to do today whilst daylight is around (black crochet and low energy lightbulbs are not to be recommended)
Going to do a frantic fifteeen day today - I am about 3/4 through laying the laminate flooring that Helen105 gifted me. My hallway looks clean and clear and now desperately needs a quick lick of paint to make it look gorgeous for the festivities.
So 15 minutes on the flooring, 15 minutes touching up woodwork, 15 minutes crochet and 15 minutes on here............... the day will just fly past.
First thing, soup on for lunch and a pot of tea to keep me going whilst I try and catch up with whats been happening and then try to empty my inbox.

Hurray for BT engineers! :j:j:j
Welcome back MG, we have missed you! Your craft project looks so cute. Looking forward to hearing what's been happening for you over the past few days.
My washing machine's on, red cabbage in the SC (added an orange as well as the apple), and I'm about to go into town for the last wee bit of Christmas shopping. I'll be using the park and ride as an act of self-preservation!

Welcome back MG, we've missed you!
The sheep is gorgeous!Good luck reading back! I reckon the day will indeed fly past, bet your flooring and paint gets done in no time! :j :j
Morning to everyone else too
Festive one for us today - invited people round for a 'festive clothes and clutter swap' from 2pmBut quite a few can't make it, so goodness knows whether it'll just be us sat here on our own :rotfl: I think the few who can make it will be spread over the day, so it'll be like having lots of separate visitors dropping in for a cuppa - how lovely! :T
So - house needs a bit of a tidy (I did a proper tidy yesterday, and somehow there's lots of things to be done again), Mr Daffs needs to sort his clothes out (he *had* a large pile of things to swap, then started just throwing the day's clothes on top of it, and now it just looks like the ordinary pile of cast-off clothes in the bedroom :rotfl:), the decorations need to be put up, I want to make some bread, and possibly some more biscuits (although might not with that one - keep it simple and all that :j)
I've got 3 hours before the first person potentially turns up (there's only ever one person who's on time :rotfl:)
First though - back to bed with a cuppa0 -
Hi MG and welcome back. Good news about internet - we have all got to a place where we can't live without it.
Have fun.

I could (just about) live without it, but it'd be a very different life to the one I have now!0

The sheep is cool
Can anyone teach me to crochet tho? My gran tried so many time it's insane really. In the end, she gave up and taught me to knit instead
So, for knitting, non-crocheters, try this little chap... he's teeny-tiny. The one I gave to !!!!!!'s mum had a little stripey tophttp://flutterbypatch.typepad.co.uk/flutterby_patch/2009/05/sheep.html The story's cute. The pattern's at the bottom

Love the Shaun the Sheep. I am with you on crochet TMIF, Guides gave up on me. We were supposed to crochet slippers but all I got was a knot every five stitches. Would love to be able to make Shaun? Can anyone help TMIF and me learn? Pretty please.........0

I'm not good at knitting or crocheting but can do the basics just about.
As a right hander I found it easier to learn from someone left handed as I could sit opposite them and copy :rotfl:
Always have been a bit kak handed:D:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
