Mail, was refused at the checkout. Supervisor was called and she just said if it doesn't scan they won't take it. I tried to show her my email that I had received from head office a while ago but she wouldn't even look at it and just kept saying if it doesn't scan we can't take it!

of course it does not scan stupid cashiers! they are not 99 barcode.

I was so cross that when I got home I emailed Tesco again, I got an automated reply saying they were very busy and would answer as soon as they could. I am still waiting for a reply! I need to shop again tomorrow and will try again then but I don't hold out much hope.

Genmod, cashiers & supervisors are crapped!! most of them knows nothing except scanning the groceries & hearing the beeping thats their limit!:D if you have a letter like mine - all you need to do is take to the customer service and ask for refund.

Since your reply was from an email - they would assumed that we altered the email (see what I mean):o am not surprise they rejected your email. You guys need the original copy of letter that are sent to you from TESCO HQ. Email replies are useless and they don't take it as a confirmation from HQ.

Also its worth making some friends with Customer Services girls;) if I have all your 4 coupons I can use it without a problem (with the till - yes but with the customer service its a doodle).

Tesco tills have a drop down menu on the non scan coupon button...all supermarkets listed apart from Lidl....so why some stores like to play silly beggars is beyond me...

Yes BS they do have the button to press NSS but the cashier won't play ball!!! nor will the supervisor. The only one that will do it for you will be the one you make friend with - which I think is silly! cos' everytime you wanna pay, you will have to look for your favor' cashier (thats what I hv to do all the time) and if they are not working you are stucked with your coupon.

Only just looked at yesterday's Times & found the following
p21 Voucher for 75% off Finish Quantum dishwashing tablets 30's at Waitrose only - cost £2.32 valid until 23/12/10

I'm about 10 miles from Gatwick & the snow is really falling heavily now. Feel very sorry for all those people trying to get away on holiday as I can't believe the airport will stay open long.

Managed with great difficulty to get out today, DS had to dig the car out to get it off the drive, roads now gritted so had to drive slowly to Tesco but got there.

Tesco really busy despite the atrocious weather.

Anyway got trouted, the SA would not take the Waitrose coupon. He was what I normally call a good SA as usually no problems with coupons too. He called a supervisor over who informed me they only take Asda conditional spend coupons now, no other. I went to customer services and was advised that they only take Sainsburys ones now.

I had also been overcharged on shampoo. Pantene shampoo , a huge row of them on the shelf , sel .50p, so got 2. Was charged £2.10 each. When the CS woman checked she said its a different one thats on offer for 50p and I could have a refund of the £4.20 but as its an error can not keep them and have dtd.

Oh well, I'll just have to get busy writing a nice email to Sir Terry, AGAIN.

No matter how many times once of us complains it keeps on happening doesn't it.

On a positive note, we were unable to get the car out of the space at Tesco as the snow was so deep and it had not been gritted, and 2 Tesco young male employees came and pushed us out. They were a big help.

Will let you know how I get on.

You have just cheered me up on this miserable day.

I'd love you all to be my best friends :). No room on our drive for extra cars but always welcome to park in the road (I live in a close so fairly secure). Spare room is rather difficult as it is usually full of clutter/books and always takes time to clear before anyone comes to stay.

Actually its not a bad idea if I need some cash to do a B&B with transport to the airport - the only problem is I am not an early morning person so perhaps not the ideal thing for me.
