Evening everybody,
Happy Birthday Hester-hope you had a good day.
BB-hope you find your bracelet
After a week of not going out at all apart from the field at the front with the dog for a few mins, decided I needed to go somewhere( anywhere..).I had a call yesterday- my Mums oldest friend died,so wanted to get cards for her daughters ,we went to Tesco, not been for ages since our Sainsbugs opened.I got a few bits ,like the orange box of Doves farm yeast, wholemealbread flour, but I 'd had enough after half an hour and we came back.I've def not coughed as much during the night or today so hopefully the lurgy is on the way out, very lacking in energy tho'.
Just had roast beef and all trimmings,DH did most of it,but I made a fruit crumble for after. Both DSons were in too-v unusual for a Sunday so that was nice.
Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Evening all
Thank you for all the good wishes, to those that asked, yes I celebrated in style, Tru, how dare you, lol, your pm made me laugh so much.
I got the Edwardian farm book from hubby, some smellys, chocolate, black velvet scarf, gloves & a New Look voucher. My son bought a fantastic cake with happy birthday Mum iced on it, it was absolutely fantastic, DGD ate about a dozen sausage rolls, I'd got a Christmas colouring book, activity book & dot to dot & all 5 children sat round the table with them after we'd eaten.
BB I hope you find your bracelet,
Suzy, it seems to be called 'Sirdar one hour scarf wool'.
Have a good evening everybody.
Hugs Hester

I have spent the afternoon sewing the binf=ding on a quilt, have two sleeves to put on it now, hope to get it finished this week so it can go off to its new home.
Off to watch strictly.........0 -

hi all! happy birthday hester and hope you feel better jackieglasgow and all who are feeling a bit ill and crummy today.
I've been plodding on with work and cleaning today, neither of which I've particularly enjoyed, and a break to watch ugly betty
Another hour or two tonight, x-factor results and maybe another episode of ugly b? Go onnnn!
I couldn't be bothered with a proper roast today so decided on a nice pudding and made a jam sponge in the microwave- the boys just couldn't fathom this! They were even more surprised when they tried it and realised how yummy and soft it is

Oh no - you're as bad as me. I lost my wedding bracelet and necklace ON MY HONEYMOON :(:( Was gutted as they were white gold too. Hope you find it xx
JackieG - hope you're feeling better, enjoy the lights
Sounds like you've had the bug that DD, DS and now H have. Oh and my parents. I am the only one that hasn't. Does that make me such a dirty mare that even bugs can't survive or is it going to strike next week when I am working
Hester - sounds like you've had a lovely day xI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Evening all, had a nice long lie in today. Got up and let the hens out and then went back to bed to finish my book so didn't get up again till about half ten. Put the washing out which nearly dried again and went to Sainsbugs - a few of us at work are doing a pre-christmas diet till the end of term so had to get lots of lovely veggies in!
Managed to burn the rest of the garden cuttings today so am pleased about that (just means I have another load of smelly clothes to wash! Friend came to help with car tyre but he can't shift it either and on top of that the battery seems to be flat - can't lock it or anything. I think a phone call to the dealership tomorrow, so glad I wasn't at the side of the road with the puncture, it would probably still be there!
Hope you have all had good Sundays and Happy Birthday HH.
Take care. XX0 -
Glad that you have had a good day Hester.
BB...hope that your bracelet turns up soon.
Donny-gal....did you need an invite to come to Edinburgh? Sorry that you can't come.
Csarina...glad that OH is feeling better to-day
I haven't been feeling the best to-day...couple of quick trips to the loo needed and achy tummy....seems to have settled now though, had very small piece of steak at dinnertime, was hungry later and had a sandwich.
Boiler repair and service cost !!!8364;150 yesterday, but at least its fixed for the winter now, really have to think of a new boiler sometime next summer...that's if all our pensions don't disappear in the coming budget!
Started moving furniture around in living room when OH went to bed, he gets so uptight about any change...not sure what I think but seems a little less cluttered looking....if only I could put the tv in one of the sheds I would be happy! Still have to decide which of the ornaments and pictures to put back on display....walls look awfully bare at present.
Have a *l**dy coldsore coming up....that will be another way you can recognise me in Edinburgh....I hate them and have been relatively free for a couple of years, will go on the raw garlic to-morrow, bit nervous to-day with tummy aches.
Hugs to all in need or want, stay warm and sleep well

 Try alcohol hand gel on the lip for a coldsore, or aftershave/perfume! Hugs to all who feel like me! Have had a busy week at work with visits from government ministers and hangers on, and my uncle died this morning, so the usual stress levels go on! Never a dull moment!!!RIP Iain
