Tesco's Christmas deliveries

Tesco take a £2 charge from your account when you confirm your order, (this is just an authorisation to confirm that the card is valid, the £2 will drop off your account after a couple of days) then on the day of your delivery when they have done your shop they will charge your card with the full amount.

I have just booked for the 21st - ideal for me as we are going away on the 22nd - I was also surprised though that every time slot was available

We've booked for the 21st. Still lots of slots available on ours, but I imagine most are holding out for the 23rd/24th slots.

I was lucky and could book for the 23rd last week. I just went on to do next weeks order and the whole of Christmas week has been booked! Shows how we can't be bothered to go into store any more!

i booked for the 21st this morning, just checked again and whole of the 21st is now booked up.

Wow ours all are gone for the 21st now as well. Very glad we booked for then, I can imagine slots for any later dates would go even faster.

Got up this morning. No internet connection and oculd not get the dongle to work. Hubby tried with his iphone and could not change the order, then he said he had managed to change the order to 22nd and there was one slot left..... so he took it and logged out.

an hour later I have logged on with my dongle and he has not changed the order but has booked another delivery and the order was 'pending' and yes, it was the vert last slot. I checked out but something weird happened so I have now got 2 orders, one for 22nd and one for 21st. I'll move the 21st to just before NYE when I am certain the order on the 22nd is actually live. What a headache.

There are no slots for 21st or 22nd from my local store now. I got the last one at 6.30am this morning!! Just!!

you could just cancel the 21st one, not sure how though ive never done it:rotfl:

Yes but why are the stores still packed with customers Christmas week?
My s-in-law is a packer for tesco.com and she said there was no overtime this christmas as they were saving money!!! poor hard up tesco's, perhaps we should have a whip round for them, obviously struggling in the recession (NOT).
Had snow this morning which is unusual for us, we didn't have any last year and in fact its a rare year when we do have any. Kids thrilled.
