Had snow this morning which is unusual for us, we didn't have any last year and in fact its a rare year when we do have any. Kids thrilled.

No snow, where do you live? I want to live there i hate driving in the snow, my street is like an ice rink atm.

grr not happy, no 22nd slots for me, i reckon the 23 and 24 will all be gone as well. have to settle for the 21st

It'll be easy to cancel - just a box to click - but I want to be sure the one for the 22nd is definately there first otherwise I'll not have one at all. :eek:

Why are you shopping online then? Because others are for the same reason. I have a child with a disability and online shopping is a godsend to people like me, who before had to struggle to get a shop done around caring. Especially as the children are off school that week.

Also, people are busy now with mum and dad both working so it is easier to have it delivered to your house.

And lets be honest, would you trust your husband with the Xmas shop..... :eek: We'd end up with pringles and possibly a turkey (20kgs to feed 4 of us) that would be it, LOL. :rotfl:

I've just managed to get a slot for the 22nd and I'm in Leeds. I went on at 8.30 this morning and they looked like they were all taken but I guess they don't update the website until this kind of time.

Thanks for this, i had the same problem at the same time but just been on again and none of the slots were booked up.

I've never done a Christmas home delivery yet with any store, I'm just concerned that they'll be out of stock of something and I won't be able to get some essential shopping so close to Christmas Day, even through substitutions.

I think it comes from me going to my big Tesco to get some last minute shopping think it was the 22nd or 23rd a couple of years ago now, and they were out of LOADS of stuff I needed, ie fresh salad stuff (well I suppose you can understand that), potatoes and milk lol, and it put me right off. I had to rush to Waitrose and get the rest of the stuff I needed. I'd do it tomorrow though, if I could be sure that I would get everything I'd ordered! It just seems a bit too hit and miss for me.
