As this is an obvious misprice I would suggest that all the MSE'ers that are going on about morals and ethics return their recorder if they receive it as surely they will never get a contented nights sleep again if they keep it:A
  • it says £31 on the product description, but once you add it to your basket and then try to check out it comes out as £169 in the confirmation page :-(
    maybe they've fixed it ?
  • Mine went through at the lower price, came to 34ish with the postage. Can only hope.

Buying one is not taking necessarily taking advantage of a misprice buying 2,3,4,5 etc MOST certainly is, and is a more or less ADMISSION by the purchaser that they knew it WAS a Misprice.......so tough luck if they cancel your orders!

Buying only one you could stand up in COURT and Present a reasonable case, that you acted in Good FAITH.

How you gonna stand up and say that you Acted in good faith BUYING more than one!
  • i took my chance and ordered one - if it comes all well and good - if not its not the end of the world!!!

lets all be honest - if you follow the boards good enough you will very occationally get delivery of a misprice ( the recent boots tassimo misprice is a good example) - lets all be happy when we do but theres no point is getting irate when we don't

As it was stated quite early in posts that this was a misprice if someone bought it after that time whether they bought 1 or a 100 it is wrong from a moral point of view, from my own position I have no problems buying a misprice but if its cancelled I do not demand they honour it and rant a rave about court action and such.

If this is a misprice then its not too excessive, these can be picked up for around £90-£120. Obviously £34 would be nice though but I do hope people will not whinge if it turns out not to arrive

Bargainoli, you are wasting your time and effort. I saw this post 10 minutes after it was posted had a look and decided it really wasn't worth the hassle. We have all been here before with various other misprices. You will very probably not get them. And ordering 4 is taking the mick.

Climb off your high horse shrug your shoulders and move on. No contract has been formed. You could of course take it to the high court and get a new legal ruling if you are lucky and how much will that cost?

So can anyone please explain the difference between a misprice and a really good offer???
I bought an LCD from Amzon for £700 when I saw the same one in Currys and Comet for £999 (that is a saving of £300 if you haven't noticed). Does this mean it was a misprice disguised as an offer or what?
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????

They are probably worth £30. Remember Boots stores recently sold DVD recorders for £10 so tell the retailer about expected prices and so on ;)
