Morning everyone,
Off to work in a mo, working til 10pm today so have put a spag bol in the slow cooker for the masses and apple cake and custard to follow.
The 0% balance tf has gone through so my smaller cc is now cleared !! Yeah and thanks to DH.
DH is definately on board now, came home last night with 4 x 800g co-op minced beef for 50p each (were £4 each), 4 x 400g wafer thin turkey for sandwiches at 25p each and a couple other items. One pack of mince is bulked and in the slow cooker now and the rest has gone in the freezer. If I bulk it out with carrots, lentils oats etc I can get enough spag bol for us all plus a lasagne for tomorrow from 800g, previously that would have been 1 meal.
Right off to work I go, Hi Hoooooo

Hi All
PWPS - You are right it feels as though a weight has been lifted now that he is pulling his weight with the debt busting, he has always been really good around the house but vanished from sight when ever I started talking about our finances!!
I am at work but have just placed my second order with BB4L (Big Brands for Less for anyone who doesn't know). I was really impressed with them last time and they are running 100% extra free on some products again so have stocked up but kept the total weight below the 28kg limit so that the delivery charge didn't double. Still using some of the stuff I got from them last time and it's all been great.
Right, got to go, may be back later.

Hi Everyone,
At work again!! Left DS1 cooking dinner (toad in the hole, JPs and Baked Beans).
Very impressed by BB4L as they tried to deliver my order today (no-one was home though) and they will redeliver on Monday when the kids will be home for half term - perfect, they will have loads of goodies to eat during their week off!:D
I also placed an order with Bargains foods last night so it will be interesting to see how their service compares, mainly ordered robinsons squashes - £1 per case of 12! and crisps for lunch boxes, I was trying to juggle the £10 minimum order with the 29kg weight limit as I really didn't want to have to pay extra delivery, got there in the end though. Not quite sure where I'm going to put all of these bargains though!:rotfl:
Have managed to get 2 days off next week with the kids and not working any evenings so that will be a nice break. I always feel guilty when they are on holiday and I have to work (my mother always piles the guilt on too, she was a SAHM but they never had a mortgage to worry about, they were left a house!).
Went to Birthdays to get a card today and they were having a clearout, 3 cards for £1, there were some really lovely cards so I stocked up, especially on the male ones as I always seem to struggle with those. Also got a couple reduced Father's Day pressies to put away for OH.
I'm a bit confused - why does my money saving always seem to involve spending money?;):o
Any hooo, of to do some work now, I may be back later.

Hi All
Hope you are having a good weekend.
I have been busy tidying and baking this weekend, made two chocolate and blueberry cakes, fruit scones, lasagne and a HUGE pot of lentil and vegetable soup. Morrisons have their stew packs for 50p at the mo, for that you get a parsnip, 4 carrots, 2-3 onions and a swede, I picked out two with the biggest parsnips cos I love them and have used one pack to make the soup and the other is going in a stew tomorrow with some whoopsied turkey breast.
DD has been tidying her bedroom today so have more clothes to ebay.
Washing and ironing up straight, house fairly clean and tidy. I am trying to get us more organised to make day to day life easier. Also want to get some decorating done soon, parts of the house are looking a bit tired now!
I had a non-MSE moment this weekend as I found a lovely Chillean Cab Sauv at half price in Morrisons, £3.99 instead of £7.99 so bought 6 bottles but I don't buy wine very often and try to stock up when I find a good deal. I have had some very good deals from M&S.com in the past when they made a mistake by isssuing discount codes whilst having a wine sale and managed to get 36 bottles of wine at less than £2 a bottle!! That supply has sadly been used up now so I just keep my eyes peeled for a good deal:beer:!
Right gotta go and organise my rabble, back soon, take care

Hi All
Kids on half term this week so my deliveries from Big brands for Less and Bargain Food have arrived at just the right time, well stocked with snacks and drinks!
Took them all out yesterday, had to go to dentist about an hour away from home so made a day of it. They all love our dentist which is good and only have 1 filling between all 3 of them, good diet and dental hygiene seems to be paying off.
Day off tomorrow so need to blitz the house and make DD2's birthday cake, he wants a massive chocolate muffin made with my muffin mix and choc fudge icing from BB4L. I bought one of those huge silicone muffin moulds yesterday, they wanted £20 in Superdrug for one but I found one in the local market for £5! He's having a sleepover so I will be stocking up on Iceland pizzas to feed them all.
Just had a lovely relaxing soak in the bath and used up another bubble bath so that's three things used up and thrown away. I am not buying any more til I have used up my supply!
Night all

Cake sounds fab, have you got stuff in so boys could make there own pizza's have done it in the past with my kids and there mates and it always goes down well.0

Hi PWPS,
Yeah I had thought about making my own pizzas, I always have the ingredients in stock BUT there will be 6 boys, all big eaters plus my family and I am working all day on Friday so I decided the £1 pizzas from Iceland are the way to go!! I am slightly under budget with his presents so it will all even out.
Going to be busy blitzing the house today, DD and DS2 are under strict instructions to do their room whilst I am out this morning doing my homehelp bit! And then I will be making the cake, never used a silicone mould before, I have to admit I am a bit nervous of putting what appears to be rubber in the oven, I imagine it melting all over the oven floor!!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl:
Oh well fingers crossed it all works out

PMSL!!!!:rotfl::rotfl:
The party is going really well although I doubt we will get much sleep as our bed is above the room they are all 'sleeping' in.
Made 2 giant muffin cakes which they have all enjoyed, only actually cut into one so have the other for the weekend along with 4 pizzas!!!
I am working my way through one of my bargain bottles of wine - the idea being if I drink enough I'll sleep through anything!!:rotfl:
