afternoon all!
got back form Devon earlier afetr a few days away with Mum - had a great time, I love walking by the sea and yesterday it was blowing a gale which as great! Mums friend fed us extremely well
Have had a tidy up at home and mopped the kitchen floor( pigs would have felt at home there - dogs and muddy paws:eek:)
PenPin - (((hugs))) sorry you're so poorly, nice to hear from you though, your poor friends - my heart goes out to them x x
I hope everyone else is ok - not caught up with the last couple of days.
WM is going. Back to work and a sleep in tomorrow then got the weekend off!:j

I am so sorry about your friend and her baby daughter. I hope your health improves and nice to see you post.
Miserable and dark and don't feel like doing anything but need to make stew for tea and get ready for youngest DD to come back from school.
DD(21) looks as if she might have an interview for a job in the couple of weeks -fingers crossed as she is not very happy where she is.
Looks as if there is a virus going round so staying out of the cold and damp as much as I can.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"

Afternoon folks - it's a strange time for me to post but been around the house all day. Not feeling tiptop so been under the duvet for a long while. Still a little dodgy but it's passing. :j
Yesterday I made a huge potful of carrot and coriander soup - 1 packet of carrots from S'burys basic range and a packet of reduced coriander leaves, an onion and a couple of florets of cauliflower to thicken it. Now in the SC there's a beef casserole bubbling away nicely. Think I may do lamb next time.
The whole day has been OS, no going out at all. Haven't showered either and still in jimjams.
Can't be wearing clothes in bed and I keep popping back for another snooze. Now need to up my fluid intake as I've not had many drinks today.
Am cosy on the sofa with a spare duvet round me, watching Flog It and then Pointless.
Happy evening to all.0 -
Forgot to say "Well Done" to Sistercas's DD.:T:T
Gers
Hope you feel better soon- my day was very similar to yours. Take care as there seems to be something nasty going round.
Stew is now simmering ready for later, DD is doing homework and I am gulping down hot lemon hoping I don't catch what I think DD is coming down with. Anyone turning their nose up at beef stew can have bacon and egg or something simple and quick.
DH now says our new bigger bed is the best thing I ever bought- the time I spent researching it and nag- er - explaining the benefits to him, it should be;)
Two younger DDs are having their bedrooms decorated and the decorator has just started this afternoon so things are taking shape."This site is addictive!"

Afternoon everyone
penpin sorry to hear your sad news, thinking of you and the little girls family.
Sistercas - belated birthday wishes and well done to your dd.
Npm & bitsy ((hugs))
Didn't get chance to post yesterday was visiting a school with a specialist dyslexic unit, but they only take 5 children each year. It is about 25 miles away, but as ds2 only has specific learning difficulties mainly with literacy and numeracy and hasn't got dyslexia wriiten on his statement his chances of getting a place are not good. I may have to have him assessed privately. Had a meeting today with Lea to discuss his proposed statement, it would appear that in this area they do not give individual funding for specialist teaching. I now have to name the school I want.
Os today dw been on, swept and mopped all floors. Will be making riosotto for tea. Not sure what else I will accomplish as got PTA meeting later. Pup has been out for a long walk, very muddy in the fields and woods.
Enjoy the rest of your evening. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.

Just popping on to say hello :hello:
Still no boiler - it is now working when it wants to in a sulky-child sort of way (insert rolling eyes smiley) but I don't care anymore because we are getting a shiny new combi on Monday!! I knew they would cave in eventually and admit defeat
PenPin - :grouphug: to your friends and a gentle one to you too - take care of yourself, OH & DD now the weather is going nasty.
NPM - Take some "nice" undies to change into...
Oh and quit the mince pies! I have photos on which I think I look like a heifer, but have convinced myself that ivory silk and odd angles do not add up to good photos
JackieG - your PM has been invaluable, thank you :A
Big hugs to all....am off to make bananana cake & choc chip cookies to sell in work for Children In Need tomorrow....exits polishing halo0 -
Good to hear from you Floss, I deleted your reply with the email addy, and had been wondering what happened, but never remembered about it when I was in here!

Evening everyone x
Have not read yesterday or today yet, will do so soon. So hugs, thoughts and congrats to all who are poorly, having a bad time, have done something great!
Been a bit hectic this week, its our wages week, we have one every other week, have had to work over to get things done, not enough of us to get the work done, I like this smiley as it decribes how we feel about the wages 'eeek' and fed up with telling them till we are blue in the face that we can't cope. Unfortunatly it means that tomorrow and Monday we get many many calls where people have been paid wrong. This payrun I am happy though, I am not working tomorrow and Monday :j:j
OS has been a bit lax, but will attend to it on my days off, am actually looking forward to giving the place a good clean, I have designated tomorrow for a mega blitz, Saturday for library and ironing, Sunday as a bit of a doss day and Monday for finishing christmas cards and other sundry bits I am making for Christmas.
My mum seems ok, still has her catheter, she now does not think she wants them to teach her to self catheritise (sp) and to be frank I don't blame her, I think I would find it hard, let alone being 79 and learning. She had her iron injection and blood test today and is now finally (after us suggesting for the last 2 years) applying for a blue badge.
Will try to catch up on everyones news.
Have a good evening, cyas soon xxxwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine
