  • Morning all, had very little sleep (self inflicted spend several hours stood watching The Levellers last night so am achy and tired but it was well worth it to be right at the front - easily pleased me) :P Tidied round already this morning hoovering done pots washed and put away, wm on currently its overcast and cold so looks like the tumble drier will be in use. No school run this morning as am babysitting for the neighbours little one so she did school run.
Going to drink gallons of coffee and figure out tea.
    Hugs to all :)
Sometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait
  • Morning:D

off to wedding dress fitting at 11:ohope it still fits after all the mince pies I have eaten recently;)...3 weeks today:eek:
DS had several meltdowns last night and I feel like we are walking on eggshells as even looking at him the wrong way sets him off:o....I think his tourettes is bothering him as he keeps grimacing and making a rather forceful "deeee" noise.....its fun in our house;):p
Depending on what time I get back i may wrap some more presents and start sorting out if I need to buy anything else.

    Penpin what terrible news:(
Redruby how is your dad?( and mum)
bargainbird what was the dream:cool:? i had one about DS`s teacher last week:eek:.....won`t be able to look him in the eye ever again:o
bitsy hope DS is ok today.....it is frustrating...even though DS talks well in a physical sense ie he can make the sounds, it often makes no sense and a lot of it is echolalia. You rarely get a proper answer esp to questions like what is bothering him etc. He tried to tell me the other night why his brain was different but I still don`t understand it:o. There is a game thing at the back of that Parenting a child with Aspergers book which may help?
JackieG do you need some lactulose with your painkillers;):p

well better go to my fitting.....having to take my awful Spanx pants for under dress to pul in any lumps and bumps:cool:...good job OH doesnt know that under the dress my underwear looks like mrs doubtfire:eek:

    Morning to you all.
Up very late this morning--a rare lie in, i didnt wake up til 9,45 and breakfast is still being 'readied'--pancakes and the works. i do love being at home with Mrs De. She usually rushes off early in the morning to open the school so we dont have our leisurely breakie together!--shame its not really warm enough to sit on the balcony but its looks like another sunny day with passing rain cloud!!

İ have no plans apart from definately shave my stubble because its annoying me now. Mrs De wants to do something so she might drag me along, it had better be cheap because i am hovering on empty! we had a lot of home improvements done last summer and my salary is spent through til next June+she's paying!!

i reckon my daughter is the richest person in this family because each of these holidays demands all the adults give the youth money and my daughter never spends her own money! --she asked me if we could have a video camera yesterday and i past the buck to Mrs De--i subtley hinted she spend her own savings if she wanted one which didnt go down well!!--anyway less of the whinging--

good day to you all Gxx
    mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.

    Hi everyone.

PenPen - I hope you feel better soon. What sad sad news about that poor little baby girl; her parents must be devastated, poor things. (((Hugs))) to them.

Not getting much time on here lately because I'm still helping out at the farm up the road, getting it ready for their big Christmas fayre and farmer's market on Satuday. There's a lot still to do but I'm taking the day off today (mainly because the housew**k fairies haven't been here in my absence!) and I will go back up there tomorrow. On the way out yesterday, the lady who runs the farm popped into my bag a huge piece of pork fillet and loads of bacon. I told her I didn't expect anything but she insisted, so it's all packed away now. The fillet will do three meals for DH and I, so will really help with the budget, plus it's completely free-range and organic and, if it's like all their other produce, it will be really tasty. Tomorrow, we will be decorating the barn up there for Christmas so I'm really looking forward to that.

Dinner tonight will be one of the farm's delicious pork pies. They are so big and filling that a pie for one will do the two of us. I shall do it with roast potatoes, veggies and gravy.

It poured with rain yesterday and was freezing cold, but today is completely different. It's warmed up a bit and the sun is shining in a clear blue sky. Let's just hope it lasts, although I can't complain after seeing what they are going through in Cornwall; it looks dreadful there and is so sad for all those affected.

Well, I need to go and put the bread in the oven, and buttercream a Victorian sponge, so I'm off.

    Morning,

Been MIA with lurgy, and a hacking cough.I feel a bit better than earlier in the week, but still pretty rough.I'm having to sleep propped up on pillows, and cant get comfy, and I feel guilty because I keep waking the others up.DH is in the spare room, but he appears to be getting it now :(.I was reading on here at 3 in bed,but was downstairs by 5 trying to cough quietly:rotfl:
.Finally fell asleep on sofa for a couple of hours,& woke when the boiler fired up.

Consequently, no OS done.I've been running my freezer down ready for Christmas,so not a lot of hm meals in there.DH had to resort to buying a Morries ready curry one night(pretty good actually)

    Anyway,I shouldn't moan so much,it is just a nasty virus.:o

Hugs for all poorlies,& p'd off and dentally challenged-hope you all feel much better soon.

Penny - lovely to see you on here, but how sad for your poor friend and baby.(((Hugs)))

Morning all! Been up and to 1 interview so far today, Fingers crossed, the guy was lovely, but i dunno, i'm not 100% confident....we shall see. Had planned to spend the day out as have another interview in same town at 3 and then work at 5:30 but it's miserable today and i figured it would cost less for the extra train tickets than it would for lunch in town, so came home, had some lasagne as won't get dinner tonight and having a mooch online before heading out again!

OH has asked me to make him a CV for a job he's seen the newspaper, he's self employed but his family have spent the 2 years he's been trying to make it on his own nagging him to get a job... so we will see.

Anywhooo have a lovely day all!!

PenPinhow lovely to see you; sorry you're so poorly, though, and sorry to hear about your friend's little girl.

Sistercas belated birthday wishes; sorry to have missed it yesterday - I was running around like a headless chicken, and in danger of disappearing up my own backside! Congrats to your DD1 also.

You're not the only one. The house elf had to come in my bed in the early hours of this morning due to a visit by giant talking carrots!
Ooh, shall I send Mr LW along with a big chopper? I'm thinking carrot stew...... Seriously though, things that in daylight are really daft can be quite unpleasant in dreams, I know. Hope the House Elf is OK.

I'm going to do my best not to fall over today - I'm just thankful that the whole bungalow is carpeted!:D

Got Mr LW's pal coming over tonight, so expecting an evening of cider/beer and Dragon Age Origins, so I'd better get the lounge dusted. I already made a supply of cheese straws.;)

Must press on - (((HUGS))) good wishes and posi-vibes in a pile here - help yourselves.:D

    !!
The university accomodation department came to visit my flat today, which has about 1% to do with them anyway, to see if it wasn't damaged...
I get home and there's a huge report on the stairs about how we made "no effort" to clean the place, we need to wash up regularly, the kitchen needs a clean and we need to keep mould at bay!
The house is clean, cleaner than any student house I've seen and most other houses! And I spent ages tuesday cleaning the kitchen tuesday, including scrubbing the floor by hand and she says it needs a clean!
There's a little mess from a rushed breakfast- few crumbs by the toaster and a dirty bowl in 2 rooms.
All the mould and stains she's reporting us for are not our fault, they're there because of a badly repaired leaky roof and a place that is in rubbish condition and we've reported all these things to the land lord and handy man!!

I'm absolutely fuming! Partly because that report is so cheeky and partly because one lazy pig of a flatmate couldn't be bothered to put all his crisp packets and pot noodles IN THE BIN!!!

  • Hi ya chums ,well that will 'larn me' to get up so blooming early.did all the rushing around this morning as per usual plus a library run as well as a drop-off at the tip with a bg of rubbish(our dustmen are a bit 'if they feel like it they will remove it' sort of chaps ) I find it easier to take the stuff to the tip myself half the time.Got back and paid the window cleaner .Thought I would sit down with a cuppa and have a read of my new library book and blow me down I have lost an hour and a half:o think I ended up reading the back of my eyelids instead.but I feel quite refreshed now and just about to go and have a HM cheese and onion pasty from the freezer with some salad.Dinner tonight will be a chicken breast wrapped in bacon with mash and carrots and some fresh fruit salad to follow.
I might do some ironing this afternoon as I have some catch-up t.v. to watch.NSD thank goodness as i amshopping from the freezer.I am off to Lille for the day in December with my eldes DD so I want to have some room to bring some thing nice back maybe a nice ham and definitely some cheese. Still very cold here and I'm not one to really feel the cold so it musy be nippy.
Hope you all have a good afternoon
    Cheers chums
