adelight, I would take photos of the flat in its present condition if I were you, and send them a letter answering their points 1 by 1, with photos to demonstrate your POV. If its nothing to do with them, why are they inspecting, and also do you need to give them access without an appointment? I would imagine not. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window Every worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0 Every worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Because the university service advertised the property for the landlord to students they inspect the property to see if it's fit to rent. We weren't aware they would want to inspect it again but had a note through the door last week saying they'd visit, we weren't here so clearly they've had to get keys off the landlord to get in. If they were just inspecting our new windows or the repairs to the roof I could understand but the report only mentions how clean we've kept the place. Our neighbours have had an almost identical report today too (the land lady owns quite a few shops and flats on the road).
I took photos of every tiny problem when I moved in and added plenty of comments to the inventory(with pictures) before signing and that included some of these problems like a semi-broken door and mould. We haven't been charged this time but imagine they will come back soon, in which case I will take photos before they get here and try to be here when they are. The whole thing barely makes sense to me.
A very calm email has been sent regarding it all Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0

Oh help...my beloved Kenwood Chef has just packed up! I've had it 26 years and can't imagine life without it, but it was making an odd noise the other day. Definitely the motor gone.Resolution:

Ouch beemuzed, find the kenwood thread on here, there were some hints and tips for repairing it if you know someone who could have a go, or if you're confident to do it yourself. I sold mine on Gumtree and it was making noises, but the person who bought it was quite confident he could fix it! It was older than yours. If not, depending on what size you need, there have been a few bargains about recently. - Ghandi0

I am kn*****ed. Did a white wash and hug out, dry, brought in now on airers. Made 2 jars of lemon curd, first time I have made any, looks ok......needed moew eggs so a quick trip to Aldi....home; made 12 lemon and poppy seed muffins, preped the supper, Oh requested chciken in yogurt sauce with veg, so thats ready to re-heat...I have opened a tin of pinto beans to go in it and bulk out te chicken a bit.
OH went out for his walk this morning, he has sourced some bricks for us to relay the path through the grass at the back, he also wants to create a couple of square foot plots, wants to use brick to divide then into small plots. We now need to go and collect them....we still have to empty the old wood store to stack the wood from the tree that was cut down on Tuesday.
Stove lit, just had a muffin and a cuppa, think I am going to have to get some lemon essence, the lemon taste is not as strong as I had hoped.
 Going to put my head down for half an hour.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0
