Argos skateboard glitch 2 for £2.50!!

went to argos to pick up 2 skateboards for 2.50.. they tried to charge me £5 for both so when i said no thanks as it should be 2.50 the oh jumped in and said its fine.. outside argos i explained that its was ment to be 2.50 for both not 2.50 each like he thought! oh well 2 skateboards for £5 when it should have been £20 to begin with isnt too bad i suppose

i went in today and they also tried to charge me £5 for both. then i pointed out that the £5 on the reservation e mail wasnt the total and it was actually the money saved, then they fiddled around with the till for about 15 minutes until they put them through for me at £2.50. if they try to charge you £5 just say that you have e mailed customer services to clarify that you could get it at this price and you had £5 off so thats why it says saving £5 on the e mail. very happy though £1.25 for each is not bad!!!:j

I've just picked mine up :T paid £2.50 for them both. The woman tried to change me the £5 and i said about it being £2.50, showed her my email, so she then tried to charge me £2.50 each and they came up at £3 something, so i said it was the £2.50 for them both, she had another look at the email and put it through, bit of a faff because the till was trying to take more discount off the £2.50, but she wasnt having any of it, so in the end she put the two through as different transactions so i paid £2.50 for them. Very pleased as my son has been going on about a skateboard for AGES, so now ive got him one for next to nothing and another one too, which i think my 3 y/o daughter may claim just so she has one.

i've just got back from picking up the 2 i had reserved earlier today, thank god i printed out the reservation details. 20 minutes of explaining to the 'senior staff supervisor' waiting for her to go online then ring the help desk she still was not having it trying to charge me 2.50 for both. she eventually called the manager over and within seconds he agreed with me. in the end the till took another discount off and i got them for 97p each. Just shows you its work standing your ground. i know its only pennies in question but i love a bargain.

These are no longer on website, also other skateboards no longer have the buy1 get 1 half price offer which i know was valid for quite a while...
Will they still honour reservations, i did mine at the beginning of week, picking up monday

I have just picked up my 2 from my local argos, came up as £5 and then further down my receipt it has deducted £1.25 so I paid £3.75. I queried why I had been charged this and showed the csa my reservation confirmation. He apologised and gave me back £2.50 so I ended up paying £1.25 for 2 skateboards 62.5p each! BARGAIN!

Ive just had a phone call from my local argos to say the skateboards i ordered were meant to be in todays delivery but hadnt arrived she said she would go back on and re-order them to be delivered when their next delivery arrives and it says on the system there are none left in the warehouse and that if i still wanted them i have to keep checking the website for them coming back in. I amsuming the stock will come back in when they have fixed the error that is giving them away so cheap lol

Hi all - just come back from picking up my 4 (no, I'm not greedy, my sis asked me to get her 2 aswell!) In store, the price came up as £5.00 for the 2 at the till - I acted a bit dim (no problem there) and queried this pointing to my confirmation e-mails and the assistant went away, had a bit of a conflab with supervisor and then both assistant and supervisor came back and played with the till for a bit (the till wanted to take more money off). After about 10 mins, both the supervisor and assistant gave up, and eventually the till spat out a receipt - I paid £4.94 for 4 skateboards! Bargain!

I didn't need anything but the reservation confirmation e-mail, but thanks again to Starchar and Lisa535 for their e-mail.
