Didn't want the S & G to be the big one - wanted a smaller set for more presents - but if the price is right i'll split itChallenges - repay all credit cards by end of 2015Starting the savings for retirement :rotfl:

How much do you think the S&G will be reduced to?0

Lots of us reported that the Ted Baker Hat Box sold out quickly, and since then, there has been no inspiration for me to part with any money on OOTW.
As freakyteat said, very accurately, this is a tough financial climate, and other stores are having unheard of discounts and sales in order to tempt us. And it's worked.
I know others thought they were "lucky" because Debenhams made a mistake with the absence in the Ts & Cs of a minimum spend, but I reckon it was an excellent piece of marketing, and that they gave away in vouchers far less than what they saved in advertising.
Usually Boots have either a £5 off voucher for No 7, or the items are on 3 for 2, sometimes both. But at the moment, a peak pre-Christmas buying time, there's nothing!
If, as kelbag says, the packaging of the P & P set isn't up to much, that's another reason not to buy. And the price!! No matter how much the stuff is worth, £45 doesn't sound like a bargain, unless they put it on 3 for 2.
Come on Mr Boots, get some decent bargains our way and you might find your tills full! :j

I think it will be £29.50 or £29 but hoping for £25"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. I think Boots would sell far more OOTW if they had some decent £30-£40 gift sets on for £15-£20. £45 might be cheap for P&P but I just can't afford that amount of money for a present and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
I have a feeling they're going to be left with lots of stock after Christmas as their OOTW have been disappointing so far.Dum Spiro Spero0 -
I'm another one seconding the disappointing OOW's.
And ... much as I love S&G, I genuinely don't think this set is worth anymore than last years! I will be boycotting it if it comes in at £29 odd, after being £20 last year ... and I bought three of them last time.
Come on Mr Boots - step up a gear!0 -

And £20 would be even nicer!! Perhaps Mr B will be so vexed at the amount of stock left, that he'll put them on 3 for 2? I'm always an optimist!

Mr B is making it easy for me to give up my Boots addiction. I've also bought very little. I think the P+P set is best suited to people who religiously buy P+P rather than random shoppers who will buy whatever is a good offer. I'm also annoyed that almost all of the cheaper items no longer work with the £5 skincare vouchers. Sanctuary face wash and toner still work but will most likely be excluded by the time the vouchers come round again after Christmas.
My local chemist has much better value than Boots just now. They have lovely hat boxes wrapped in cellophane and bows which can be made up with selections of ROC, Vichy, La Roche Posay, Trilogy, Nuxe, Avene. Prices starting at €25 (around £20). They bulk the boxes out with samples. I'll probably buy one of these and wait for the 75% sale at Boots.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -

Am waiting for S&G or one or other of the No 7 sets. Wouldn't mind FCUK or GOK either. No time to have all of them, unless they do 2 a week from now on ( which would be great)[STRIKE]DFW Nerd number 729[/STRIKE]Debt Free & Proud0
