You save between £3.25 and £8.25 by buying the set this Christmas on Offer of the Week!
Not good, but thanks for doing the maths on it.
100% agree with all of this.
I am terrified of losing my Advantage card now!!! It's like having £220 in your purse! I might spend some points in the New Year sale to use some of them up.
Well if I had that many points and I liked the p+p set I'd use them and get it. You'd get a GWP too. I do like the P+P set and would be DELIGHTED with it if somebody gave it to me but my budget is very tight so I can only afford to get things I really, really want.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -
£45 is a lot of money for 1 present, i only spend that sort of money on the kids and both are too young for a P & P set.....
Still got a couple of friends to buy for, so looks like looking round as I think the S & G set might be too 'expensive' for a friends present.....
hmmmmm - wonder if those tweezers are still available at Debenhams.....

I enjoy buying and receiving presents, but most of my friends and I have set £10 - £15 as the top limit on Christmas gifts, except for grandchildren, and other young close relatives.
I keep repeating Martin's mantra "Do I need it? Will I use it? Can I afford it?" and most of the time, the answer's "no"! I can rub P & P into every square inch of my (abundant) flesh, until the cows come home, and it's not going to suddenly make a bus driver ask "who's bus pass is that? Is it your mother's?"!
No, £45 isn't a bargain, unless you regularly use P & P, whereas people are going to be thrilled to receive Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue perfume, worth £52, cost £7.53! :j
Bring on the 75% sale Mr B!!! Your shelves should be groaning!

Hi everyone,
Mr Boots is trying very hard to get me to part with some more cash this year, just received an extra mailing this morning. 250 points wyb Eau de Parfum or Eau de Toilette and 250 points wyb 3 for 2 mix and match. Was not going to go to the christmas shopping event tonight but it has tempted me slightly as coupons do not say cannot be used at points events or with other coupons! Anyone else had these???
Also in the mailing No7 P & P Intense Collection is shown as "Gift of the Week" at £45, do you think this is the same as OOTW? Maybe we are in for another bargain too tomorrow?
Hope more of you got the mailing....0 -
Completely agree with you guys so far I have just bought 2 Sanctuary sets, I remember last year there being a real buzz around OOTW, I planned my Friday mornings with military precision to be able to get to Boots. Sadly this year we have been let down, 3 diff make-up sets????, a hairdryer??? and now a 45 quid set of P&P, I use the serum, but wouldn't shell out for it in this set, I just wait for 3 4 2, or the skincare voucher. I went into Exeter yesterday and Boots was piled high with Fearne's Hatbox, cant remember any OOTW being left for the bonus points nights last year.
Sadly Tinyshoes the Gift of the Week is just the new name that Boots gave this year to the previous OOTW.
Come on Mr B, stand up and be counted against the rest of the High Street. Am am with the poster above regarding the Debenhams £5 voucher - I am sure it was possibley the greatest marketing tactic this year, the same with ASOS and their glitches.0 -
SandraScarlett, just the woman I need! Quick question: do I get two GWPs with this instore and should I use the self service tills????
If you have access to SS tills, then waltz over with your basket, containing the set and 2 x GWPs. Put the set through first, then the GWPs, and, hopefully, you will not get that aggravating bleep!:o:eek:
If it does bleep, and an SA comes over, just say "oh I thought I'd get 2 x GWPs" and you've lost nothing for trying.
Actually, if the set is OOTW and the price after next Thursday is going to be £90 plus, then in theory, 4 x GWPs should go through!!!! :j

If there are no SS tills can you not just go in twice, 2 seperate transactions both with a Gift? (and spend an extra £5 on each order to get the points offer??)
Or is this me being boots-naive?0 -

What I'm tring to say is if it's going on full price, after this wonderful brilliant, super-bargain OOTW (I'm being sarcastic), then the till will "see" the full price, and in theory, you should be able to get it for £45 and 4 x GWPs!!
Last year I bought the magnifying mirror, using an SS till, when it went down to £19, for £17.10 (after over 60s discount) and got 2 x GWPs!! HTH
