I'm sure it's very frustrating for everyone who has received an email and is worrying about what might happen next
I'm also very sure that the MSE team are working their backsides off to sort it out and this is the reason they 'seem' to be quiet on this thread. They are reading it constantly though.
I'd rather they got on with investigating the problem and post here when they have something to tell us
It's a pity this post can't be pinned at the head of every subsequent page of this thread.
It's also remarkable (well, to me at any rate) the sheer number of posters who want justice NOW! as well as explanation NOW!
And possibly, Martin Lewis's head on a plate.
Good job the overwhelming majority on here have the wits, and the patience, to allow MSE's Webbys to investigate -- though shame on all those vindictive posters with their various conspiracy theories who seem to have conveniently forgotten that this entire bloody thread wouldn't be here in the first place if MSE itself hadn't started it. . .0 -
HI
Got one this afternoon joined in 2009 but have not been on for at least six months and had to get a reminder about my password this afternoon and then got a eamil from them at six this evening.
It's funny you should say that....further to saying i hadn't recieved one a little while ago - Well i decided to log out and log back in on here (as it's a private home network i usually use the 'Remember Me' button) and within about 10 mins of doing so i received the email.
Soooo does this mean it could have something to do with logging in? Maybe?Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -

i got this today. ive been a member since 2009 and thought that it was iffy straight away. Ive since been into my profile and changed my password and email address on the site.I already get spam to the old email address so it probably wont make a difference. im going to change the passwords on my email accounts though just in case.0 -
I got one too. Outlook marked it as SPAM and I deleted it. The only place I use the name published is this site. Something's been compromised?

Me too, it was in spam and I read it but didn't click on link so I presume that I'll be ok going by the info on here thanks everyone:) Should we be changing our log in passwords do you think? The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.
