Tulip09,
At MoneyExpert, we believe it's only fair that you can compare products from the whole of the marketplace. After all, it's the only way to be sure you're not missing that perfect deal. That's why we insist on being independent, which means we're never biased towards any particular company. We provide details on every product from all of the major providers in the market. We partner with Defaqto, the people who deliver product data to the FSA, to ensure that our tables are accurate and complete. You can find out more about Defaqto at ( I have removed links given in the email)

I recieved this a few hours ago to my junk folder, and i dont think its just to people that registered a long time ago as i only registered a few months ago.
This is surely the most important post on this thread so far - it's the only one reporting that someone who signed up after the known issues in Aug 2009 has received this spam.
Just bumping it because it's easy to miss in this fast-growing thread but to reiterate - this appears to be a new issue rather than just a re-use of old data.0 -
Yep I got one too... stupid pesky hackers!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

I also recieved the email although it went into my junk folder. I also became a member of MSE many years ago. When man sacrifices the Love of POWER for the Power of Love, there will be peace on earth.0

I guess this is stating the obvious, but in MSE's investigations have the people at MoneyExpert.com been contacted?
Having looked at the site it seems a run of the mill comparison site. Probably not impartial, granted, but seems genuine, in as much its not a scam or malicious.
As alluded to in previous posts, I would suggest this is an attack based on the MSE user database, using the name of MoneyExpert.com. I doubt Moneyexpert.com were involved in any way, and are probably a victim as much as MSE itself is.0 -
yep got one to reported it as phishing0

Yup, I received this email this morning. Fortunatly it went into my junk mail folder & I just deleted it.
It used my MSE user ID & the email address I used when I first registered on the forum & for the MSE news email.
Haven't read this thread to be honest, so don't know what's going on, just noticed the title & checked it out.0 -
Have you changed the e-mail registered to your MSE account since TDMMDI?0
