Afternoon all... the mockers were put on me flying yesterday. I sat down to play Monopoly with DD and by the time we had gone to get milk/see the landlady it was 1pm and then a stomach bug thats going around DD's room hit me  Then at middnight it hit OH so he's off work today. I asked him last night to clear out the fridge so that the rubbish could go out for the binmen who came this morning but he hasn't so I'm planning on doing that when I've done my pigsback clicks ;) Also need to wash up and have some lunch. So today I'm flying :
    • Fridge / Freezer (ready for the "big" shop tomorrow)
    • Dishes etc in the kitchen (daily stuff)
    • Under the stairs cupboard :eek: (If I'm not back later can someone send in a lovely home cooked pan of scouse please :rotfl: )
Right, daughter wants lunch so I'm out of here.... Photos will follow at a later date ;)
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • Well, the sun came out, so DD and I (DS having remembered presssing arrangements with his friends  ) cleaned not 1 but 2 cars!! :j DD even said that she thought it was lots of fun. Don't know whether to be :D or  by her comment

Anyway, glad we did. Both cars now look lovely, but I think the Dyson has had a bit of a shock (need to overhaul it tomorrow). Along with the assorted hair slides, chips, sweet wrappers, I found £1.27 in change, and a money bag containing £55    One of us must have put it under the boot carpet for some reason, then forgotten about it.

Drinks on me tonight, and you're all invited. In true MSE style, it'll be a glass of coke and 9 straws :D

    Penny. x

I love challenges and I'm a bit peed off that I'm missing this one :( I haven't even been OS this week (never mind the 'extra' stuff like this challenge) because me and mr troo are going out every day this week (I think we're going to Exeter today - I can't remember, anyone seen my diary? lol).

So, I will do this challenge next week, all by myself :rotfl:

Troo, you dont need to do it all by yourself. My DD is off on half term next week and i was just wishing i could gather motivation to do a big house clean as i have guests coming to stay on the following Saturday. I have two main problems,
1)Spending far too much time on here,:o
2)DD (3yr) & DS (16mths) always under my feet. By the time i get them into bed at 7-7.30pm i have no energy left to do any housework.

I would definetly benefit from breaking it down a bit into more manageable tasks and the motivation of this thread....

Need to think about what i want to achieve though.....*pootles off around the house with pen and paper*3_5_4v.gif:eek:

    Fancy challenging each other Troo?

I have now reached the point I always get to, of being really dissatisfied with my house, which is ridiculous, but I really want shelves and cupboards and a utility room.

But then from my stash of presents in my still not completely transformed boxroom I have just given my little granddaughter nicer birthday presents than her sickeningly rich parents* did, and I have found the fabric and pattern for a new jacket, and paid off this month's credit card (0%, of course, but it's good to get on top of it sometimes), and sent a card from another stash to a neighbour. I think I need a kinder word than hoarding, as my system keeps us afloat. So am I allowed some 'stuff that isn't just stuff'?

    * That really doesn't make me sound very nice, does it? Hey ho!
