    Get evidence.

Report any threats or intimidation. Enjoy your home and garden and when you get abuse ring the police. Don't react to it... just go in and phone the police.

You will at some point have a smart alec asking why you use the garden if the neighbours give you grief when you do...

im sorry, but you were told various times in this thread how and why to keep evidence and you kept saying 'whats the point'

well this is the point, so that you have evidence to give to further your case

you need to take all the details of all the events that you have recorded over recent months or years and use this as your evidence

you are being physically attacked because your home is under attack and its where you live.. you need to detail the effect on your young sister who is growing up in a climate of fear. this is why i talked about social services but you obviously dont want to use them. shame because they can also provide evidence by way of an assessment of the needs of this child

I understand your point but my argument was that i really cannot recall every problem we have had over 8 years of living there.

I cannot recall the date of every key mark on my car, everytime my wing mirror was removed etc. Although i can build a picture if i start keeping records now it won't say much as they are all in hiding because of the sudden surge of police (and bad weather).

I have been considering social service's, as i understand they would be able to help with my little sister, especially since she is ill and will be looking into it as a source for evidence providing.

It just confuses me. If your attacked in the street the police don't tell you to get your own evidence for a court case, but we as the victims have to prove were victims. I'm going to do it, i just don't like it!

no, you were told to start keeping records and all you were saying was 'whats the point'

and im saying, this is the point

yes, you must contact ssd and get them to do an assessment and ask for either cp or child in need interventions and ask them to liaise with housing and the police

I got shifted in April this year due to Anti social neighbours I had a year of hell but nothing like the hell you and your family are going through! Social services really are the ones who have the big boots, I tried every avenue I could think of, wrote letters, kept notes etc and still the housing did nothing finally I broke and I spoke to SS and within a matter of weeks I was allocated a new house.
    *SIGH*

Well, it's 'not the point'. I have to prove i'm in danger. Keeping records about being verbally abused, being scarred of crowds and car vandalism isn't going to work as the housing officer clearly stated 'it's only property' and although we are being harrassed unless we are physically attacked he said he doubted they would agree we were in danger.

So in that context the records make no difference.

Don't quite know what your first sentance directally relates to, but keeping records would have done me well in the past. At this present day there is nothing to write in them as they are all in hiding, unless i jot down my day to day activities. e.g. take mum to her car, mum goes to work and gets taxi from her parked car, i after coming home check on car at 5.37, 6.13, 7.22, 8.35 - Here noise, 8.45 etc etc (btw, i even wake up to do this lol)

p.s. looking for the social service info now

If all you have had round is a PCSO that is not good enough. Look up who the chief constable is for your police force and write him/her a letter. Let them know that you are not happy with the way your situation is being handled and that you would like to arrange a meeting with somebody in authority in the police force to discuss your situation. This should hopefully have some impact. Also contact your local MP and councillors. They should be able to look into the situation and get things moving. Having had your property destroyed by arson, this is rather more serious than the local housing association is thinking the situation is. Time for some action.

I would absolutely agree with this. Last year we had an incident when every car on our short road was vandalised in some way - mine had the wing mirror snapped off, which cost me over £300, as it's one of those with the indicator etc built into it. Then some oik came along and tagged my car. As luck would have it, that week I got a circular round, saying how wonderful our police were, blah blah from the Chief Constable. It gave his email address.... (evil laughter)... so I sent a long acerbic email to him explaining the events of the past few weeks.

Gosh, talk about leaping into action - I had a series of emails from him, visits from senior officers to look into how they could prevent this happening again, and now we have regular patrols (foot ones) in our area and (touch wood) nothing has been done since.

I think very often the top guys don't hear about this sort of thing - we need to let them know more!!
