Afternoon. Sorry I've not been on to say hello but it's just been one of those busy weekends. Massive hugs to all in need. Happy birthday Seafarer's Wife, have a lovely day xxx

I've been doing washing, clearing, cleaning and DH is actually doing some work to stop the draughts in the house. It's a miracle!! We're all full of colds so just taking it slowly today.

DD has just told me she's been asked to enter a music competition in February. Very proud of her as she's only had about 8 lessons at the high school. DS's taekwondo teacher phoned us asking us to attend the award ceremony in December as he's getting a 'big award'. Bless him. As much as they drive us mad it's times like today that I realise how immensely proud I am of them both especially when I think how far we've come from this time last year.

Boddy - I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Sending lots of love and hugs along with many in the flylady community xxxxxx

Another successful HHC that's all the uniforms apart from few tops that are in TD now away, PE kits in bags, a neckwarmer found for DS2 (knew we had DPs old motorbike one and all the kids are wearing them, hoping it might help reduce his facial eczema) dw going, dogs bed in Wm, floor in LR is now nearly clear apart from the things DS1 is sorting now (just sofas and DPs window ledge to do) DS2 did under the sofas, collected 3 carriers of rubbish (nearly binned my gift vouchers so they are now safely in filing cabinet eeeek!!) put some of his clothes away, put shoes away and a bit more DS1 moaned but took some laundry upstairs and put some games away plus collected a gibble bag needless to say DS2 has cost me the most so far.

Having 10 minutes rest as I feel tired today, probably the yakky weather then restart 3-3.30 before I do the potatoes, veg and yorkies for dinner

Toots it might be worth trying one of the eating plans, a lot seem to be geared round singletons. My friend is doing it with WW and I know it's not very mse at all but she buys the WW meals which are usually on offer in supermarkets, does a full meal plan using mostly their products, fruit, veg and cereals then buys nothing else but what is planned. Like she says if it's not there she can't eat it. She's onlto her 4th stone lost
One day I might be more organised...........

Just spent an age skimming the posts since Thursday night....

Mr LW has now started work on the doors. He's replacing all 7 of the internal doors, the whole bungalow is a mess, I can't move (mountaineering job to get from lounge to loo) because the bungalow is tiny and the hall is the only space long enough to lay doors down flat.

There's very little I can do to help; just holding things while he does measurements now and then; but of course I can't physically do any of the heavy work, so it's going to have to just be done as and when he can (ie at weekends) for the forseeable future.

I did do the ironing today (his job normally); I just got him to set up the board for me; if it's set low I can sit on my computer chair at it. My left arm really knows about it now, as the iron is very heavy! But that job's done for this week.

I know it's going to take time, and make a lot of mess, but I'm having a hard time holding it together, as I loathe mess and chaos. I have to make sure not to let him know this, as bless him, he's doing his best, and he doesn't need me throwing a major wobbly added to the mix.

Gods know how long this'll take; he's been at it all weekend, and only a fraction of the way through doing the 1st door so far.

Not sure, either, how flying will go while all this is happening - the entire bungalow looks like I haven't dusted in a year, as there's sawdust getting everywhere.

I think the hardest thing for me is not being able to knock on and do something towards it while he's at work - I'm just going to have to look at all the mess, and the tools and stuff, and feel helpless to progress the job, iyswim.

Oh well, I suppose it'll all come out in the wash. If I don't post next week, I've either had a complete mental breakdown, or tried to move a door myself and done myself a mischief!

Oh, and Happy Birthday to SeafarersWife:o

It's been trying to snow here. Little flurries then nothing. We had a nice picnic but it was sooo cold.
Bathroom done, and a few more bits. Just going to put WM on again and sort some carp in our bedroom

    Happy Birthday Seafarers wife

Lamewolf - I sympathise, I always end up feeling resentful, guilty and totally cheesed off by the mess that results from anything that gets done.

    Afternoon all

Boddy I'll be thinking of you tonight as the evening before a funeral is a funny time. You'll be fine tomorrow for the love you have for your Mum will see you through. Sending you love and hugs x

Seafarers Hope you're having a great birthday

Busy but successful day at the shops and DS3's first squash match against other clubs.

No flying done other than changing our bed and the cat's bed so think I'll do a HHC in a minute.
