  • Onestep Good luck to your OH for the interview. I know what its like living away from your husband as mine has been working away for nearly three years now and I wish he could spend more time here with me and the kids, but at the moment he has to go where the work is!

I have been doing little bits from the lists over the last couple of weeks but I am slowly getting the house into shape. Last week I was obsessed with cleaning kitchen appliances and especially the hob and oven. This is what being on the Flylady thread has done to me I think. I have also cleaned two of the windows upstairs for the first time in a very long time today.

So I want to say a big thank you to all who organise this thread, put up the lists each day and generally encourage other people to join in and keep on top of their houses. My house isn't perfect (and probably never will be!) but it is getting better. So :TTHANK YOU TO ALL AT FCC:T

  • I liked Martins decor with the halloween masks and the poppies, but, does anyone know what Happy EID means??
  • Hello all,

Good look vibes being sent to your DH Onestep and happy calming vibes for our Lamewolf and the doormen. :A

Sore start today I laid on my poorly side last night in bed and woke up feeling very tender. Woke up to my mum shouting me (odd as she doesn't live here) bless her she had let herself in and was building my fire up. :D

I am now up and awake on my second coffee and dressed again (second day in a row since op - progress). Have mum coming back in a while to help me do some jobs around the house, it really is teaching me a lot as I am very independent and normally help mum. Having to ask for her help is a very humbling thing and is helping me realise why she often feels frustrated when I help her. :o

    Todays list is;

    Clean cat litter tray
    Empty bins
Binbag dance (possibly a slow romantic dance :rotfl:)
    Hoover through bungalow

    Plus... Laid up jobs

    1. Write Christmas cards list/cards - started
    2. Make file of recipes and throw out old magazines - started
    3. Organise lappy files - started
    4. Start turning granny squares into a blanket - sorted into piles
    5.[STRIKE] Do freebies hunt[/STRIKE]
    6. Organise freebies into gifts for chrimbo
    7. Burn piccies and documents onto discs for back ups
    8. Spend ages working out what to do with £5.50 of Tesco point vouchers..

Also need to get study bits back out and spend HHC making notes and reading through my next assignments directions.

Good news this morning - I got my wool delivered in the post and a lovely get well card from my sister.
More wool = Great joy to me :T

Okies, Love, Hugs and Spoons to all

Eid is the Muslim festival which marks the end of Ramadan. The word Eid means 'Festitvity'.

Thanks Sarah, I should have thought to look on wikki whatsit:o

As for your mum helping you, take all the help you need. After all how would your mum feel if you hurt yourself doing something that she could have done for you?
I know it's usually the other way round but you need to be good to yourself for the next week or two and your mum really wants to help.

    xx
