  • Does it make a difference if you cancel the D/D(direct with the bank) straight after the 3rd payment has been taken or right before the 4th payment is about due to be taken??

It took me AGES to figure out when the payment date is LOL - here from their FAQs:

How is my cashback amount paid?
Payments are sent through BACS. You also need to fill in your valid UK address so we may prevent people from outside the UK (mis)using our site.

When will my cashback be paid?
Cashback is usually paid to the members through BACS on or around the 7th of the succeeding month. To become eligible to get Cashback you must first accrue the threshold limit of £25; but if you prefer to accumulate it further and wait for it to grow, you can do so, provided you update your profile accordingly.

Thanks pipitypip, so it should go in on 7th Feb then. Lets hope the sainsburys vouchers come through without any problems too :)

Why are you going to let it run over for a 4th payment. 3 payment = 3 months cover = the vouchers.

I got this email today re the missing cashback

'We have already exceeded the member retention budget and hence we will not be able to pay you out of pocket.'

I would be interested to know if anyone gets their £35 after this as I suspect it comes down to how nicely you ask. (They got my email when I was having a snarky morning!)

Got the same thing this morning

'The concerned person got back saying that we have already exceeded the member retention budget and hence we will not be able to pay you out of pocket. We are only waiting for the validation period to complete, after which the merchant will investigate on the your missing transaction. We will keep you updated once a month, the latest status of your transaction'

I don't think it matters how politely you as I was nice as pie :D

I'd be very surprised if the actual reason for non payment has anything to do with the reason given in the email

My email read slightly different ....

I have looked at your ebonds purchase for you and I can see that it validated on 02 November 2010. In most cases the cashback comes through within four months of the validation date but if yours takes any longer than that we will of course chase the merchant to hurry them along for you.

When we receive the payment your purchase will show a status of received and the cashback will be sent on to you in the next payment run. Our payment runs take place around the 1st and 15th of every month.

As always, do contact us again if you need help with anything else.
