I was told 2 months, maybe they just arbitrarily make the rules up as they go along? Classy company;)0

Am I the only one who thinks this is actually a good buy and will keep the policy?! It even has a critical illness element as well as the life insurance.
As far as the cashback is concerned, I was told I should have made a missing incentive claim within one month and that there was nothing they could do for me. I wrote back telling them their customer service was dreadful etc etc, then got a similar reply back from a supervisor. I thought that was it but a few days later I got an email telling me they had credited the £35 as a gesture of goodwill. :j. It's sitting there waiting to be paid next month. I might have mentioned MSE somewhere along the line :money::money:0 -

I think it is a good deal too, but my work policy covers me so I'm only in it for the cashbackveggieblob wrote: »I wrote back telling them their customer service was dreadful etc etc, then got a similar reply back from a supervisor. Exactly what I did!plus the £5 for joining, means £40 coming next month - all good
I have to say though they're really not clear and compared to quidco and topcashback they're pretty poor. I appreciate their "goodwill gesture" of course but I did report it in their timeframe, I just didn't have my policy number yet to give them full details, so think they were just trying to wriggle out of it. Doubt I will use them again.
Thanks again sirbrainy for posting this deal - really appreciate the £40 coming, and also fingers crossed the Sainsburys vouchers.
pippitypipI know I'm in my own little world, but it's ok - they know me here!0 -

Hi Sue
This is regarding your Sainsburys missing cashback. I had escalated your
complaint to my supervisor and she has added the ?35 as a gesture of
goodwill out of our pocket. I hope you are happy with this.
It is showing in your account under "Approved" funds as:
07-01-2011 Sainsburys life insurance (OOP) J.S. 0.00 35.00
0.00 Approved
If there is anything else we may help you with, please let me know.

Dear Sue
Thank you for your reply. Firstly, I apologise for my colleague's
misunderstanding about the screenshots. She presumed you were talking about
from moneysavingexpert and sorry about that.
Secondly, we got into a deal with Sainsburys Life Insurance when they
contacted us regarding promotions in September. The deal was through and we
began promotions on Oct 5. On 18th November we heard from another contact at the merchant's end stating that Sainsburys should not be promoted in
cashback platforms. Following this we inactivated the merchant in our site
on 18th November. However we noticed that there have been some tracking
issues from 12th to 18th as a number of missing transactions were reported.
We have forwarded all these to the merchant requesting them to investigate
on it, for which they have obliged.
Thirdly, we have this policy of 1 month time frame for our members to report missing transactions to us. Since, in your case, you have reported the missing transaction after this time frame, we are unable to proceed any further Sue.
Many thanks for your understanding. If there is anything else we may help
you with, please let me know.

1. The screenshots are from your website, not from moneysavingexpert.
That is just a very high profile consumer site where you are getting a bad reputation because nobody seems to have had this particular item tracked.

2. This is one of the most unhelpful replies I have received. I will obviously not use you any more. Nothing personal, I know you are only doing what you are told to do. I will report this back.

Hi
Thank you for contacting us. Your "Sainsbury's" transaction is not showing in your account because the merchant has not tracked and reported it to us yet. Please be informed we will not be able to query any missing transactions that are more than a month old. Our 'FAQ's' at http://www.simplycashback.co.uk/help/, states this:
> > > > > "Is there a time frame for reporting missing transactions?
> > > > > Yes, as you will understand it is impossible to chase up any missing transactions that are old. Therefore, if you have any missing transactions must report this to us within 1 month. Simply submit a ticket to our helpdesk with all the relevant details of your transaction and we will chase it up with the merchant concerned."
Henceforth, if your purchase is not showing in your account after 7 days from the date of purchase, then the transaction will be deemed to be a 'Missing Transaction.' Make sure you provide the details of the transaction at the earliest. We are sorry but we are unable to help you any further in this regard.
Moreover, you have stated you have screenshots of the procedure from "moneysavingexpert.com" , please be informed this site not related to simplycashback.
If there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know.

Hi. I clicked through from you on 15th November and took out the life insurance, completely online. Nothing is showing as pending in my account.
I have kept screenshots of the procedure and you may be aware that there is a whole thread on this on moneysavingexpert.com so it might be a good idea to find out what is happening and reply with something more than the stock reply that you have been sending to other people? Thank you,

Thanks for the advice veggieblob, i emailed yesterday explaining cashback had not been tracked as of yet and asked what happens now and they replied this morning with a similar reply they gave you and have given me the cashback as a gesture of goodwill, so like you my account is now showing as £40. I have a question though, how do we know when the cashback will be paid in as I cant see it anywhere on the site? I Have added a bank account to my profile and set the minimum payment as the default £25 but when will it go into my bank account? I'm new to this, never joined one of these cashback sites before so a bit confused....it doesn't take much lol.0

It took me AGES to figure out when the payment date is LOL - here from their FAQs:
How is my cashback amount paid?
Payments are sent through BACS. You also need to fill in your valid UK address so we may prevent people from outside the UK (mis)using our site.
When will my cashback be paid?
Cashback is usually paid to the members through BACS on or around the 7th of the succeeding month. To become eligible to get Cashback you must first accrue the threshold limit of £25; but if you prefer to accumulate it further and wait for it to grow, you can do so, provided you update your profile accordingly.
hth,
pippitypipI know I'm in my own little world, but it's ok - they know me here!0
