  • Dreamgirls, Hotfuzz and now Smokin' Aces (all seefilmfirst tickets) appear to be full/only a few tickets available to start with :(:(

If anyone has London tickets for Hot Fuzz, please think of me... ......ah nevermind. It looks like a good movie (well Simon Pegg is in it -DUH) so if you have tickets - go see it!!

I'll be sat here envying you and drowning my sorrows! ;)

It is a bit strange, most of the tickets for these films were gone before even being posted on this site. Is something going on we don't know about???

I don't have tickets as such but I have the email which you print out to collect tickets at Huddersfield for Smokin Aces, my DH was going to go with a friend next Monday at 6.30 (I think that's the right time!) but I don't think they are going now. Is this any interest to you?

But you (or anyone else for that matter) can print "the flyer" for yourself.

    RADIO 1 Smokin' Aces Preview

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/edithbowman/smokinaces.shtml

With a great ensemble cast, featuring Ben Affleck, Ray Liotta, Alicia Keys and Andy Garcia, the trailer promises more guns, explosions, and chainsaws than all of the films released in 2006 put together.

Selected cinemas across the UK will be showing it first exclusively for Radio 1 listeners on Monday 8th January, ahead of it's release on 12th January.

    * The film is certificate 18 and contains violent scenes. Only persons 18 years or over will be admitted.

    How to claim your ticket
Just click on the screening you want to from the following list, print off the flyer (black and white or colour are fine!) and take it to the participating cinema to claim your pair of tickets before the screening

I normaly get tickets no problems as my local cinema is not a main one.

But over the last few weeks they have always been full. But lucky got LAst king of scotland last year and Smokin Aces' went to the cinema.

But it's always gonna get harder as more and more people get the internet and more looking for freebies.

I remeber 3/4 years ago me and the missus were the only ones in a screening. I think if we wernt there they would not have bothered showing it.

But last year (dec) i went to the holiday screening. They were all full on here but the cinema was about 1/3 full.

A friend of mine went to Southampton for me yesterday to try and collect tickets for Smokin Aces and Charlottes Web (print out and collect are difficult for me as I dont live near the only cinemas that show them) and he was told Smokin Aces had run out really quickly and it was only being shown in a small screen. Got tickets for Charlottes Web though with the comment to arrive early as it is "first come first seated" showing (as always!)

I was too late for the Hot Fuzz tickets at Leeds/Bradford,

I emailed seefilmfirst and got a reply saying keep a look out in Heat magazine for more Hot Fuzz codes, it's not in this week's, still Last King of Scotland promo

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

    It's quite simple.
The Hot Fuzz (particularly) code was an ambassador code, e-mailed to film first ambassadors.

These people (like my sister) get their own tickets then e-mail their friends, and eventually it gets posted on places like here.
The cinema tickets thread has inexcess of 27,000 views.

If each cinema has (for example) only 100 pair of tickets for each screening, then you can see how they are full very very quickly.

Other bigger films (such as last king of scotland), have free tickets available through several different portals (internet codes, magazines like heat etc) and have vastly more showing and seats available.

There is nothing sinister going on.
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.
