t-mobile £7.50 sim for everything

I received my sim yesterday, and excitedly phoned up to have my phone number transferred onto the it - to be told that as I'm an existing T Mobile customer, this was not possible.
I wasn't very happy about this, as I've had my phone number for nearly 20 years, and had checked when I signed up, so the agent said that she would phone me on the 27th Nov (1 month before my contract expires) to put me on the same deal. Now, I was a little apprehensive about this, in part because I thought it might be a bit too good to be true, and in part because I was having difficulty understanding her, as the line kept fading in and out, so I wasn't 100% sure of what she was saying.
However, she then passed me through to Cancellations to cancel the new sim, so I thought it might be prudent to ask the new agent if this had been noted on my account - it hadn't, but more importantly, she told me that I wouldn't have got the deal then as its a short term one, as we know.
I explained again that I'd asked when ordering, and had had my phone number for a long time, and she very kindly upgraded my account straightaway onto this deal!!
So, I'm one very satisfied T Mobile customer!!0 -
so i take it this deal is now over? what is the number you usually have to call to get through to the special deals at T-mobile?0

The deal is supposed to be ending tonight at 9pm but they have been saying that it will end for the last 2 days!.
I got mine today-really pleased.600 mins/500 texts/3gb internet & 60 mins calls to Europe and Australasia landlines and mobiles for £7.50 per month!!.
Anyone going for it beware that it will revert to £15 per month after 12 months. You have to call them to renew deal at month 11.

I signed up for this (thanks OP
) and when checking my account online, it shows as SIM Only 15 (12 months) with a monthly cost of £12.77 exc VAT ?
Surely it should read £6.38 exc VAT for £7.50 per month ?
I can see a "loyalty bonus" of £2.50 listed under "Your current services" ?
Does anyone else see this or the correct rate ?
I also cannot see any reference to the 3Gb data allowance despite checking this twice with the person on the phone - is it possible to confirm this from your on-line account details ? I have an entry called "capped data rate" in "Your current services" ? Neither web n walk option is ticked.
Thanks

I ordered this sim only last night, and after ordering it I rang my current provider (virgin) to get a pac code for my 1 month £8.50 sim only.
When I asked for the pac code they offered me 800 mins, unlmited text (3000),internet (1gb), and virgin to virgin calls (including virgin landline) for £8 on a 1 month contract! I couldn't say no.
I am now debating whether to still keep the t mobile contract for DD, or cancel it. Is it easy to cancel? Do I have to wait for the sim to arrive? I have no order number.
I should have rung virgin first, but the lady at tmobile kept telling me that the offer finishes today (yesterday) and I won't get it if I ring tomorrow.
Thanks OP for deal.0
