I hadn't thought about all those expenses to change name!! I was really annoyed that my driving licence photo ran out last month and I had to pay to change it and then I'll have to do it again within 6 months!!

We spent the day today having a chat about what needs doing in the house, and pretty much every room needs sorting majorly, plus the garden. Don't get me wrong the house is perfectly liveable, but it's no where near where I want it to be.

I always worry about the rising cost of fuel, food, living etc and it scares me for the future, which makes it more important to increase the savings and crack the mortgage down, but I also don't want to live in a house I don't like, so some middle ground really needs to be found.

Every day we achieve something towards the end goal, but I'm so impatient it's not funny.

We managed some ways towards decluttering today, an old sofa bed went to the tip and also we sold a bulky item through the local free paper. We also won £10 on a scratchcard because I bought one for my Dad to cheer him up and bought us one as well. Tomorrow that'll be banked and it brings me almost close enough to my next OP which will be nice.

Got two items ending on ebay tonight one with a bid, just relisted two items and put two new items on.

I know exactly what you mean Yukkibear. Then when you do decorate one room, it shows another one up...and so the process goes on and on!

I was getting thoroughly depressed thinking about dining room furniture this morning. We never invite people over for dinner because the dining room chairs are a state from when DD2 was little and threw food around, it stained our cheap cream chairs. Shouldn't have bought them in the first place, still live and learn.

In a temproary measure, I found an old curtain and have covered (botched) two of them. Despite my lack of furnishing eperience, they still look ten times better and will see us through the interim.

In other MFW news, some money landed which left me £6 to find to reach my OP target, so I sneaked it out of the current acc and just overpaid £100 :j

So today's efforts have been fair. I've gained some cereal that MIL didn't like, some new summer bits for DD2 courtesy of MIL. I've had a refund for a dress that I sent back on my CC which helps to see the balance reduce without me actually paying for anything.
There are a few bids on Ebay, and that will probably be my lot for the week.

Three items sold on ebay this morning, and 15p on onepoll.

I've got the start of a cough and feel pants today, really hope it doesn't develop into what the rest of the family have had over the last few weeks.
