    Yes, you are correct as to the figures, BUT, you have to work each month in full, minus the accrued days. You would therefore be unable to take it earlier each month because it would not be yet accrued.

    there is more to getting the best return out of accrued holidays than first meets the eye. PTP
    my favourite is still the two blocks of 2 weeks, one in may and the other in november , working back as I explained in a much earlier life

    So I only worked 10 months then took one month paid holiday. So I was being paid for 12 months every year but only working 10 months between holdays.

    But you were still working 11 months of the year the same as anyone.

    You work 10 months, take 1 month off then work 1 month.

    It's no different to working 11 months then taking 1 month off, or working 6 months taking 1 month off then working 5 months.

    In a year you still work 11 months, have 1 month off and get 12 months wages.

    NO PAY RISE INVOLVED.

    If you take two weeks in may and November there is never going to be 10 months between holidays.

    And according to your system you would only be able to take them twice, the last two weeks the first time and the first two weeks the second time, the third time you will have moved on to april and october.

    And there still wouldn't be 10 months between holidays and you won't have got a pay rise from it.

  • The aim is to get a max of 10 months between holidays every year. Its OK to have a total of 10 months made up of 2 blocks of five months or whatever makes you smile. just find the best strategy.

    You are NOT working less, you are still working 11 months of the year and taking 1 months holiday. It doesn't matter which month you take the holiday in, it's still work 11 and 1 off.

    You are not working any less than any other person and you are not getting a pay rise for it.
