......and that's what i'm scared of, being sent home
I've got that worry too, happened to my SIL, I can't go to local birth centre as high risk, plus its closed for births until May anyway. Two choices of hospitals, a good half hour away, along busy A roads. SIL got back to hospital 2 hours after being sent home and gave birth 10 mins later:eek::heart2:Baby boy madbird arrived 15/06/11 by emergency csection weighing 9lb 13oz:eek: love him so much xx:heart2:0 -
I wonder how far the contractions are apart then. I guess this girl on tonight went in when they were 6 minutes apart and 1 minute long I think is what her bloke said. So technically early.
My midwife has told me to phone when I get 3 contractions in 10 minutes and they last a minute long.
I'm so scared. It's getting too real now.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -

I know I would want to tell them all to shut up but less politely. There was just my Dh and midwife and that is more than enough imo.

'I might want to make a small cut'
If it was me she'd be told that she could go and want all she liked.
And breathe, push, don't push and all the other instructions would drive me mental. I sound like such a grumpy mare lol.
I'm getting soo freaked out though... Mummy to an amazing little girl0 -
I think she got sent home because her contractions were infrequent and spaced out... It also depends who sees you when you arrive...
I was admited at 1cm with DD1 and I wish they'd sent me home... 3cm with DD2... It seems I'm a slow burner... But the RLT helps them shoot out when they're ready! (Up to 3 cups a day now...)
Good luck SJP... I hope I go 2 weeks early... Well... 1 week early, then DH will be here for half term... At least my miniature shampoos arrived today (ordered before Christmas!) so I think I'm just about done with my labour bag...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Have I missed something? She's 4cm dilated and going home?
 That freaked me out too, DH came in the room and asked why she was going to the beach in labour, I did wonder if we were going to see them do their weekly shop :rotfl:
Seems to be the in thing to have your sister at the birth, there's no way mine would fancy it and just as well cause only DH is allowed.
The lady with the heart condition is being induced next week at 32 weeks I'll be 32+4 next Monday so it's going to be really weird seeing what my LO looks likeAKA: PC

We're only allowed 1 person in at a time here. You can have 2 birth partners (how kind of them to allow it!) but can only have 1 in at a time. *I really need a rolls eyes smiley!*
As it is the only other person who might be in the room would be my mum. I wouldn't be that keen and she isn't either, she doesn't want to see me in pain.
We only have the choice of one hospital here, that's what comes from being in a teeny health authority I suppose.
They've been lovely so far, but I'm a bit daunted at the what not to do's they seem to have surrounding labour and birth. Mummy to an amazing little girl0
