    Hi Ladies and Bumps,

Been a bit busy the last few days so no time to update but Baby Oliver Jack was born on 19th Jan at 11.14am. Who knew that something so little could take up all your time day and night and make you feel a bit of a zombie but be oh so worth it!!

Congratulations! Pics please when you're up to it ;)

Pixie I am Portuguese British, and there's an 80 page document  from the Portuguese embassy as to what you can and can't call your child... *if* you plan to register it over here so be ready! I guess if you are not, and it's just so they can pronounce it, it's still a bit of a nightmare...:o

No, I know. I lived in Portugal until I was 6 and then moved over here with my family. And I know the restrictions etc. I hate going to the consulate in London... it's a nightmare! The queues! And I guess baby will have british passport anyway as OH is british.

Actually, do you happen to know if it will be able to have british nationality as it's born here and its father is British? Just I have Portuguese as my nationality. I get really puzzled by the nationality stuff... like dual nationality and all that. I just hope I don't have to go to the consulate, it's too busy.

    Emma's a great name

Oh I see ice, well fingers crossed you get hold of her tomorrow (and get the job!)

Congratulations bp :). I love that name (pics please!!)

Charlie, I had the gtt last week. It wasn't too bad, just took a lot of time, I actually took my laptop to the Docs and got a bit of work done while I was waiting. Worth checking it out for babies sake.

Twinny, time away sounds fab, but I would be tempted to actually book it after you have baby then you'll have a better idea how you'll feel about it. At least you have babysitters booked so even if you don't feel up to going away you can go out and party :)
We have tickets for kings of Leon when baby will be 8 or 10 weeks old and I'm worried I might have to sell mine on as I just keep panicking about it. Seemed like a great idea at the time, just thinking it will be most of day if not overnight away from baby.

Hugs / labour vibes to anyone and everyone :D

Does anyone who has had their antenatal classes recently know what the latest 'advice' is on feeding times in the first few weeks? I know feeding is usually covered, but as a 2nd time parent we don't have classes to update us, and I am curious. Will ask MW when I see her next I suppose.
At our (NHS) antenatal classes we weren't really told one way or the other. They just kept iterating how every baby is different and while demand feeding will work for one, it won't for another. The only thing she did highlight though was in the early days to make sure baby fed at least every 3 hours (timing from the start of the feed). And she told us stories how they'd visit a mother and the mum would say "the baby was amazing last night - slept for 12 hours straight" and she said this was a no no and the baby should be woken for the feed.

Well I've asked OH to arrange (dont fancy sorting out my own b'day pressie). He doesn't even know how to open the laptop never mind switch it on (that's no joke either) so the hotel prob won't happen. Nothing is being booked before bubs is here. I'm
Being very cautious not to tempt fate.
My mum asked me if we'd thought about booking The christening the other day
