Thanks for the replies. I was thinking or writing her a letter because then i figured that i could explain how i feel, and how i don't want her to be upset, but also i could put on the letter that it is to be opened together with her husband, and that they are to only ring when they are happy to talk at a time good for them. Because when i rang the other day i was going to tell her and then she said her husband was out and i thought well i can't ell her when she's home all alone as then her hubby might get angry with me. When they find out i suppose it would give them time to digest it and if they then thought it would be too difficult to stay with us then they wouldn't have to. The only thing is it means telling them before the 12 weeks and also telling them bnefore we have tols anyone else. I don't think they would say anything but it means they would know before family, and i don't know what to do. Maybe we should just tell everyone? I'm only 7w4d though so it seems really early, trouble is that when they come to visit i'll be coming up to 12 weeks.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

My goodness you have been a chatty lot this afernoon! I ended up sleeping for 2 hours :o Probably wont have a great sleep tonight now.
Welcome Sequeena and honeypop
Great picy Sparkle!
Ecoelle difficult situation hun. I personally would probably wait until after the scan and told Mums and dads etc but if you felt you had to tell them when they come to stay, I would wait until after the party and sit them both down and tell them. That way they can go home if they decide they can't handle it and they wont spoil the party.
I kind of had a similarish situation with my friend, she had 3 miscarriages within the space of a year and I was really worried about telling her but on the other hand I wanted her to hear it from me and not through the grapevine. The difference I suppose is she knew I wanted another and knew I was actively trying and was genuinely pleased for me. As it has turned out she actually fell pregnant round about the time I told her and is so far having a healthy pregnancy.
Thankfully I have never had the hearbreak of losing a baby but would like to think I wouldn't be so bitter towards my friends and at least try and be happy for them even if it was breaking my heart. Hopefully the counselling will have helped her come to terms with it to a certain extent.
Like Sammy said though, this is a very special and exciting time for you and your DH and you can't keep feeling guilty, you really shouldn't have to. Sorry not much advise I'm afraid"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Ooh I knew I meant to say something else, wonder how lwcus is getting on? The fact she hasn't been on hopefully means that something was happening!"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0
