Poor you :( Have they got you on tablets? I was wary about medication, but once I started taking them I got some of my life back, which was wonderful.
I had two different things before I went into hospital and two in hospital but two didn't help and two made it worse so I'm not on anything now. The hospital did try to discharge me with the stuff that made me so ill I was unable to watch my daughter opening presents on Christmas day but funnily enough I declined. I have been seeing an acupuncturist though which has made a small difference to the sickness but a huge difference to how I feel overall.

My target was 6 months with a maximum of a year. I ended up doing it for 2 years and 6 weeks (last 5 months was just 10 mins before bed though) when suddenly DD said "Noooooooooooo I don' wan boob!"
I was getting worried she'd be coming home from school asking for it:eek:
Apparently most children allowed to wean naturally do so between the ages of two and four so whilst you do get some who would still be choosing to have it at school age, I think it's actually fairly unusual.

My day just took a turn for the worse. Received a reply regarding the job interview I attended. They said that someone else had more retail experience than me (not difficult, really). So now I'm stuck. There is one other job that I can apply for which is at the lottery kiosk in the shopping centre so will take my CV there tomorrow but I'm really worried now about money and it really dampened my mood so I'm feeling very low again, especially as I thought the interview had gone really well. I'm just so worried that I'll start feeling depressed again, especially as I don't have any friends down here in the south so I'm really isolated and I tend to just stay home, usually in my room.

Sorry to let out this gush of emotions and problems on here, I know there's people with bigger problems, it just feels good to share worries and things sometimes.

:grouphug: I don't know if this is any encouragement but assuming you have a low enough income to get maximum CTC and the sure start maternity grant, you'll get far more money with those and child benefit combined than you spend on the baby. Also if you have a low enough income you can get the sure start maternity grant before the baby is born which would cover anything you need to spend in advance.

Also based on the assumption that you are currently signing at the job centre, perhaps you could ask if there are any training opportunities they can offer you? That way at least you would be able to get out of the house to do something productive and meet people and it would hopefully be free. Or you could look around for voluntary opportunities such as a charity shop?

Is there any possibility of moving somewhere where you already know people and would have more support or is that not an option?

Don't be worrying about posting on here and letting the emotions out....it's important for you to have a release and that's partly what this thread is for.....I can sympathise on the depression front so any time you want to pm me....I have suffered with depression on and off for years it being worse over the past couple of years :grouphug: SusanC is right...check with the jobcentre and see what they have to offer and also what benefits you are entitled too....that's what they are paid for

Congrats BBM :) I don't think I get another scan now...anyone know am 33 + 3 (or 4, lol) and this is my first lol

oooohhh Dusty if you get pics you have to share hehe

Thanks for all the info on BF too as that is the route I want to go down so appreciate being able to get prepared for what is ahead :)

I had to leave Reading as I had some issues. I was kicked out by my mother after my stepfather asked her make me leave or he was leaving, then I lived with my best friend and her family for about 6 months but that didn't work out due to her mother basically just treating me like a servant after a while and so I left Reading and pretty much everyone I know. I came down to Eastbourne as it's the only other place I have family in this country and worked my way out of depression, which I was really proud of being able to do, even though it took a while. So right now, I can't move back to Reading, but OH is working on saving up so we can and I am trying to find a job so that I can gather money too.

Thank you for your suggestions, I'll keep trying to get work, obviously and I have been applying to volunteering opportunities in charity shops but the women who run them never seem to accept anyone. (there's never any new volunteers, yet they're still 'Urgently seeking volunteers')

Anyway, right this second, I plan to console myself with Ben & Jerry's (the only two men who truly understand a woman and her needs :P) and with tonight's good TV line-up. I guess the only thing I can do is carry on trying to be positive and hope that everything works out. I mean, my family here will help me out with money, I just feel like it's something that's my responsibility and so I should be sorting it out. Ah well, I guess right now I just have to stop the worry so that bubs doesn't feel the stress. :)
