If it makes you feel any better that episode was the worst IMO for making labour look bad. None of the ones on the Xmas episode scared me. And none from the last series either.
 The forum is going to be down on Saturday?! What am I going to do?
I feel low and miserable and I don't know why. Not felt like this for months and months.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Okay I will confess I screamed like that woman but only for the pushing:o I blame a very intense labour for it, I was induced and went from the drip going in to baby out in an hour and 40 mins. I pushed on gas and air only which you can only really use between contractions as you can't push and suck if that makes sense so kind of useless. Up till the pushing I was in agony but kept it under control, then I will admit I screamed like a wild woman. DH said he was quite embarassed, pity for him.AKA: PC

DD was headdown then at 38 weeks ish went breech I was booked for a C-sec the following week, I got as far as a gown and signed consent forms when they discovered the little so and so had turned again! so my section was cancelled and I was sent home babyless. Was finally delivered naturally at 42+1 weighing 5.5lb, which explained how she could summersault.
No my baby is coming out the sun roof now no matter what! Even if it does decide to turn back. DD2 was a very traumatic birth and to be honest this is probably the safest way out - I think I was probably being a bit daft thinking it was safe to think about natural delivery. Now that the decision is made that is it! The registrar that booked me in for my section looked at my notes and said no way would he even consider the ECV (which I was not going to have anyway) and he thought that even if it had been the right way round I should still have been having a section - he is the first person to have said that to me - and maybe that is what I needed to hear.I thought she might have got me in sooner when i said I was pregnant tbhI must admit I am still not sure about getting it done, I haven't been vaccinated against anything before, but my sensible part says to be safe than sorry.
 Hi Teenie - thanks for noticing I was missing! I have been struggling a bit with my emotions to be honest and didn't really want to make others feel miserable too!! I only had my flu jab at 35+4, midwife said that it would be a good idea to have it even for post natal times so I went for it. Asked about it on the wed and had it on the Friday - had no side effects what so ever - unless you count me pressing on my arm to see if it felt sore :rotfl:.
Thanks for the words of encouragement regarding the c section ladies - have already purchased tent sized cheap knickers from Tesco and Primark - always found previously that the paper knickers were not very big. So BFF and I stood in primark holding up the cheapies against my big belly to see if they were big enough :rotfl:you should have seen the sales assistants face - ha ha if they are not too mucky then will send them home for washing - otherwise were cheap enough to ditch in the bin.
Section decision is probably the best thing that came out of yesterday - DH has suffered from a major anxiety attack - which has been very stressful and an awful time to live through - especially so close to date, and with much soul searching and thought we think a huge factor has been my preference to natural delivery, DH was probably really traumatised by what happened with DD2, it was in a country hospital in the middle of the night with no consultant - and he ended up assisting the midwives as there were only 2 on at that point. So it has to be a good thing! He just has to get better now in time for baby arriving - should be ok with that - and then I will be taking full advantage of the fact that I can do nothing after the op :rotfl: - have even got DD1 practicing taking off my socks :rotfl:.
Phew sorry for mammoth post! feel a bit better now though.
Good luck to all those in need. Oh and if anybody wants some RLT capsules and tea bags PM me - have got some spare - LOL as long as you don't mind the fact they have been partially used!DD1 - May 02 8lbs 6oz

For the ladies who are feeling down and emotional (or perhaps some who just want a giggle), the Christmas post of that blog I posted earlier has been updated for January. The Christmas post is sooooo funny. So for the giggles, read how Sasha handles the 'hot and cold' game

Good Morning Ladies,
Bah - I can't sleep! I have a seriously sore throat and its like I'm swallowing razorsI've been lying in bed the last two hours not being able to sleep so I've got up and made myself a hot honey and lemon. I also got some Strepsils and Dequcane out of the cabinet as it is that bad. Have been consulting Dr Google and have ruled out Dequcane cos of the local anaesthetic, and there seems to be conflicting opinions on the Strepsils. Halls Soothers seem to be ok, but of course I don't have any of those right now. So I've given in and taken a strepsil! I hope this is ok - will check with the pharmacist tomorrow.
Sorry for the self indulgant moan - but I really feel like poo and have to be up in 2 hours for work
Any news from MV, Twoflower and Lilian? I hope they are having baby cuddles.
Hi to the newbies - cool scan pics Abby and Pixiepops
Sorry Wendz - I shouldn't have been so blunt about the Anti-D shot - but at least you know to prepare yourself! And definitely have it in your bottom as apparently its way more painful in your arm.
Hope you all having lovely baby dreams in the land of nodx

Hiya Lady Bumps
Hugs Sammy....am with you on the can't sleep front (am getting quite used to it now) been up now since about 3.30 and have had a hot chocolate so am going to go and put my head down again and see if I can even dose for an hour before the alarm goes off....so not used to this having to work on a Wednesday thing but am only working for half the day then am going for lunch with the girls from the office
oh my word have such a runny nose that it is ridiculous lol....I know its a bit random but have gone through half a box of tissues in the past hour and a bit :S
Have sat and caught up on the posting and the only things I can remember are as follows :-
Lillian I hope you are getting your mummy cuddles
MV and Twoflower (if you are there lurking TF and aren't already having your mummy cuddles) labour vibes to you both and TF we are all thinking about you so much....when you get a chance pop in and let us know how you have been xxx
Had my first parentcraft class tonight....ours ar 5 x hrs 15 mins :S Tonight was about labour and how to know when you are actually in labour and also some physiotherapy tips too.....spoke to the physio and got another splint for the left wrist as it has now got the carpal tunnel symptoms. she says if it gets any worse to give her a call (I love being the physio secretary lol) Anywho next weeks session is about waterbirthing and pain relief so I defo going to that and thankfully I won't feel quite so tired next week as I will be on ML and not going straight from work

See you all during the day and if not have a good day and I wish for mummy cuddles for those of you in limbo

I'm not sleeping either
Woke up about 3.30, went to the toilet and I had a bit of pinky colour when I wiped (sorry for TMI), so not sure if that may be the beginning of something..??
I then lay awake with my mind whirring and eventually got up about 10 mins ago.
Logged into my hotmail to a post from one of my NCT friends (sent at 2.38am this morning) saying how much she is struggling now that her hubby has returned to work, and how the lack of sleep is really getting to her..just what I needed to read!
I think it's just about getting into a routine, isn't it? And I'm sure that someone said the first 6 weeks are the hardest.
Hope you managed to get some zzzzz's Sammy. It's tough being preggers and having to work.
so anyway will keep you posted, but as of now I am still very much pregnant!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

I daren't go into the kitchen to make a drink as the cats will be up and wanting feeding, and then will probably poo in their litter tray or something equally horrible!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0
