My back is now killing me after I spent all afternoon sitting on my birth ball in an attempt to get baby to move down - I now just want to lie on the sofa which will undo all my hard work!

I get this and haven't really found a solution. I think I'm worse if I walk too much. But then I get it bad also if I sit down all day. It's particularly bad first thing after getting out of bed for me. So, no I can't help :) Sorry.

Go see a physio therapist. Honestly it makes such a difference :D

    Thanks Teenie

Well spoke to my work and apparently they were deducting a nice whopping 545 off my payslip this month because of the sickness I was nearly in tears which made the guy feel a bit sorry for me I think as he then said he'll split it over two months instead so I lose 270 a month :( I have no idea how we will even get through this next two months - we havent got enough for bills let alone food :( Im just in tears I dont know what to do - we've contacted jobcentre and we're not entitled to anything (apart from jobseekers for oh) because of how much we earned in the last tax year - how do they work this stupid thing out?!?!? money i earned last tax year has been spent on bills that tax year so what help is it going to be :(

(Hugs) Annibee, i'm sorry you are having to worry about finances at the moment.

I don't have any useful advice atm but didn't want to read & run.
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

For those who are money saving - went to my local matalan today, got one nursing bra for £1.50, and another one for £4.00 in the sales was really pleased, there were loads of nursing bras in the sale, if anyone is interested, might be worth checking your local store.
  • Quick question if anyone is about. What do you all think of changing tables? I hadnt really thought about one but my friend who has a one year old has said that they were a life saver for her and her hubby. I already have a changing mat and was just going to use the floor to change the bubba but now im thinking maybe it wuld be more helpful?

    Thanks in advance. xx

we had one on top of drawers for DD1, abandoned it after a few weeks in favour of a mat on bed or sofa.. cheanging on the floor is a killer especially if you have stitches for first few weeks

Thanks for the advice - I won't take it though :o

OMG we got given the most amazing present today. It's from someone from OH's work. It's a hamper made up of a storage box full of goodies. It has a steraliser in it! I wasn't going to buy one due to breastfeeding and figuring old fashioned boiling wouldn't hurt, but now I've been given one I won't say no! It's a microwave one and comes with 2 bottles which will be handy (as only have 1 for expressing). So OH should find that easier than boiling :)

There's wipes, cotton wool, bath stuff, baby lotion, baby oil, burp cloths, flat sheets for the cotbed, rubber ducks for the bath, baby toothbrush, plug socket night light, cotton buds, disposable nappy bags (something I'd not got), teddy bear and a baby record book. We're very lucky :j

I'm going to have to thank her in some way - it's way too generous.

@my1stbaby - that is very MSE. Sadly I don't have a Matalan near by. For those prices it would be worth getting the nursing bra early. I got a £15 M&S voucher so was going to use that for buying one (if they sell them) at 38 weeks.

@Annibee - So sorry to hear of your financial issues. If you want to post your SOA here as well feel free (after all it is a money saving website). Maybe we can help with more moneysaving on the baby side of things?

Oh no I feel terrible as that's what I was thinking :o I would rather do something to help myself rather than see th physio, that probably sounds really stupid to most of you :o:o Obviously if it gets unbearable then I will need to seriously think about doing something but in the meantime..........
