  • I don't think it's anything to do with gay, were just so conditioned that pink is for girls. I would definately put a boy in orange I'd even choose it over blue, just not pink but that's me, if your happy it really doesn't make any difference it is only a colour.
You'll really confuse old ladies though I've had DD in a pink dress and had old ladies say "Oh isn't HE lovely!":rotfl:

Old ladies get confused whatever you do!!

What a ridiculous thing to say:eek: I think ballet does boys the world of good - we've had a couple go off to full time training after school, they are more manly than most!

I know, and I even offered to take him with DD1 who was his bessie mate.
I had crusty boobitus with DD :D

BTW on the topic of pink.... it was a boys colour till around the 1920's when it suddenly changed to being a girls colour, but pg brain cannot remember any specifics lol

    I didn't know that.

    Where is emsy's post???

I hope MSE Andrea has got round all the other boards and reminded them.

I didn't understand the bit about the spam button, can anyone enlighten me??

    wendz great photo!

eta thanks for reminding me to sign up for Movember, merfe last year I taught for the day wearing a "mo" drawn on with board pen. My Pa had prostate cancer (recovered thank the Lord).

    Good Morning,

Congratulations Emsy - fabulous news :j Can't wait to see pics :)

    Merfe - He's lovely - congratulations again :)

Well, nip gate continues. I had such an awful last night as it was so sore. But when I got up this morning I took Ticklepenny's advice and used a warm flannel to try and alleviate some of the crustiness. Anyway, turns out that I'm def leaking - but to me its almost pus like? It's a creamy-greeny colour. Does this sound normal or should I be worried? Ever since I got the crust off, it just keeps leaking so now I've resorted to cotton wool in my bra :o

I tried calling the community midwife but as ever there is no answer on their phone so I called the surgery and she has an appt free this afternoon so I'm just going to take myself along to see her.

I could handle it if it wasn't so sore!!!! Please someone tell me it won't be like this for the rest of the pregnancy???

the cd has affirmations to get you in touch with your inner self and visulising the baby. The idea is to be comfortable with yourself and be confident that your body is designed to have this baby. The more relaxed and comfortable you are the less pain its meant to cause. Like I said I wasnt into the hypno part but the relaxation part worked wonders. My wee man popped out in under an hour of proper labour. I managed some period pains type contractions for a couple of hours before as i was so chilled out.

The second part of the cd is called rainbow relaxation and is just a woman talking very calmly about rainbow colours and getting you into deep relaxation. Always fell asleep and never made the end of the cd.
OK you're selling it to me. Will keep an eye on ebay.

Giz - Did you sort your ebay issue out? I sold a few bits and then realised that Paypal was in my maiden name and I needed to set up my new bank account and couldn't. Then had to go through the palaver of emailing them passport, wedding certificate etc to change my blinking name - and then it kept playing up on me. Anyway, I've just checked on there and after 3 weeks I can finally transfer my money :j
Yes, got it back, she's been refunded. She hasn't left a negative...yet.

It is such a hassle changing your name with Paypal isn't it? I honestly couldn't believe the faff I had to go through.
If mine is a boy its getting a pink and orange buggy. Really? Are we thinking he will end up gay because of a pink buggy?
lol, no. Our pushchair is red and grey, I wonder if we have a boy will people assume he's a girl because it's red? But I have to admit I did rule out the Sola (orchid) purely because I wouldn't be happy putting a boy in it.

Ooooh I had what some of you guys might think is the biggest insult last night :) But I'm really happy lol. I went to my crafting group and one of the ladies asked when I was due and when I said Feb, she said "Oh I thought you were ready to pop" :D I don't think I am that big, but if someone else does then that makes me happy!

Got our moses basket, changing mat and more muslins last night :) The moses basket is so cute :) But now I need to buy sheets for it! Oops. Didn't think that one through. So far I only have cotbed sheets and blankets.

  • shhhh I'm having to be very quiet as I'm in my room hiding and I don't want to be found....immature, moi?

Someone booked a "5 minute" meeting with me for 9.05 and after hanging around for 15 minutes I decided that was their lot.

I have waaay too much to do to wait on someone with much more time than me...so here I am:rotfl:
