  • Sorry to hear about your uncle Teenie. Good luck with scan this week and everyone else having scans. My cough getting worse and really hurts tummy and bump area when cough. Do you think I should give in and see my GP? Also, tmi alert, I had some sort of, well looked like mucky mucus when I wiped and bit in knickers when went to loo, not sure if should worry or not.

Congratulations on baby Sophie and ((((Hugs)))) to Teenie also

No mummy cuddles here yet - just one very tired and fed up mummy in waiting! Contractions started getting regular 10mins at 9pm Friday, continued through the night getting closer, by 4pm yesterday they were getting much more painful and about 4 mins apart so went down to Midwife unit. Head is still not right in my pelvis, dilated 2-3cm, so they were a bit concerned about the cord prolapsing, so was sent for another scan and doctor assessment. Scan was fine, nothing blocking his exit, can't understand what is going on as was told with first baby's head is usually well engaged before 40 weeks:( They kept me in overnight, and monitored me did a trace and consistently strong contractions at 5min intervals still head not any further down. They kept me in overnight, contractions eased off a bit and saw a consultant this morning who is overly concerned about the cord coming out, waters are bulging aparently but still not any further forward. Was given choice of staying or going home, so went to Tesco!! Then home, contractions are really painfull now, but don't want to go back to the hospital, they are between 4-8mins between them, but lasting well over 1 minute.

Sorry for the moan, just sooooo fed up
  • Thanks ladies :) Hopefully baby will co-operate, I would love to find out, but don't care either way as long as baby is OK :)

Can't beleive you went round Tesco's :rotfl:

Think you should go to doctors Madbird. I've had two chest infections during this pregnancy, one severe. Asked GP if coughing could damage baby, her reply "well if Paula Radcliffe can run a marathon........" loopy.gif As for the discharge, erm, what do you mean by "mucky"? I had some slightly brownish discharge very early on.

Gallbladder pain, something I'm an expert on! Me and my gallbladder were separated in 2002 but remember it well. Krystal you are describing classic gallbladder pain. Could have been stone trying to pass into bile duct. Were you sick, or didn't know if to sit, walk lay down etc. If gets unbearable again may be worth going to A and E so they can see the pain and do bloods there and then. When finally diagnosed I ended up in hospital for 9 days as got severe jaundice and was on drips.

Me too! but add to it pancreatitis, then after the op severe swelling at each of the keyhole sites so back in for a hernia op

Was told by others that the pain worse than child birth. Guess I'll be able to confirm next June! Hope you're ok today, ask away if anymore questions x

Up until the pushing stage galls stones are worse but the pushing part I'm afraid is alot worse, for me anyway.

  • Hi ladies,
Does anyone have any suggestions for cheap(ish) maternity clothes that will fit a 29/30" leg? I know Next do a short leg, but they never seem to have them in stock and it's pretty far to our nearest Next that does maternity stuff. I like the H&M and New Look stuff, but they are all too long for a midget like me...
    Thanks x
Mummy to 3 fabulous boys all under 4
