Actually, your regular credit reports WILL show any CIFAS records in your name at your address. You do not need Subject Access Requests which would cost you £10 each. If you find CIFAS information that you think is inaccurate or unfair you can complain to CIFAS, if you get no joy with the organisation that has registered it.

    Thanks for the Reply James,

I desperately need to get a credit check but as I said, Equifax and Experian are asking for debit cards as identity. I no longer have one, Is there a way I could get around it?

    Thanks

You can get statutory credit reports from both Experian and Equifax by sending a request to them in writing, along with a $2 (sorry pound sign not working!) postal order, and they will send you a copy of your reports

Offtopic but useful for reference: go to Region & Language in your Control Panel to change the keyboard layout your computer uses, that should sort it.

Rhipz: I suggest you have a read of this: http://www.ico.gov.uk/upload/documents/library/data_protection/introductory/subject_access_rights.pdf

Another thing you may want to try is www.annualcreditreport.co.uk - they will give you a free report by sending a letter with a code to your house, however, I'm not sure if they reveal CIFAS warnings, but you can always send them and e-mail and ask.

UPDATE: they actually charge a fiver setup fee.

Thanks Olipro, you've helped a-lot, I have emailed annualcreditreport asking if both their postal and online checks are supplied with CIFAS information.
    I shall post back soon.

Lets hope it isn't a CIFAS Note, If it is, I shall contact CIFAS asking what to do next.

There is nothing you can do. You have allowed fraudulent cheques to be paid into your bank account, no other bank will go near you now.

I didn't allow anything! I had no idea what was happening!
Is there really nothing I can do? No bank whatsoever will touch me? How about a Basic account?/
    Wow...

It will be very hard to get a basic account with CIFAS on your credit file you may have to wait until it comes off. I am not sure how long it stays on your credit file.
