  • I assume you bought it instore??

Have you opened it? Their Ts&Cs don't mention anything other than the 14 day returns policy
    Returns of non-perishable items

We hope you will be happy with your purchase. However, should you feel it necessary to return an item, we aim to make the returns process as simple as possible.

If you are unhappy with any non-perishable items, simply return then to your local Tesco store, in the original packaging within 14 days of despatch and we will give you a refund on those products or replace the item.

Please note that, in the event of a refund, all Clubcard points received for the purchase of the refunded goods will be removed from your Clubcard account.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

As long as you haven't opened it or used it, you should be fine to take it back

I rather read it as though the OP had done both. In which case there is no refund. If the phone is faulty, they must repair it or replace it. No refund if you have just changed your mind.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • 14 days return policy, you can just change your mind....The only downside, is if you've used texts, calls or data, they treat is as though you haven't had an inclusive bundle, and charge you full rate for texts, calls, data....no inclusive allowance....
  • I haven't bought anything yet. am looking for my partner for his bday/xmas incase he didn't like it.

Might have to ring them and see what they say as you have all said different things lol.

Having checked their t&c's, there is indeed a very generous 14 days refund policy, just retain all the packaging though.

Which is why people really shouldn't comment unless they've done it, as it just confuses people. I have done it twice, so am speaking from experience.

So he could open it, have a play and see what he thinks? And if he doesn't like it then i can take it back?

Yep, as I said though, be careful if you're using data, a they don't give you any inclusive entitlement if you return it, so if he's going to have a play, use wi-fi at home :)

Yes, but they will deduct the cost of any texts/sms/data as though you didn't have an inclusive allowance. Don't expect back the full amount you paid, the deduction they make can be quite substantial depending on how much you've used the phone.
