Awwww, he looks so smart! I bet you feel really proud of him. Hope it goes well."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Good luck to Ste
Sorry your baby clothes didn't go for more. I agree with someone else who said buy yourself some clothes from that wonderful £1 stall you have with it. Dare to put 24p towards itand you can have 3 items. I think I'd feel that 3 items of clothing for me, was *worth more* than £2.76 in the debt account.

:T At last! At last! :T
I've read the whole thread through from cover to cover, work and social life has suffered, and at last I've caught up... and I was sooo hoping to catch up for when Ste started his new job... and I did! :j
Well.... just:o
And look at him! A right F*rt Smeller as my mother would say... :rotfl:
Ooooo, I do hope he has a good first day. These things are so nerve racking.
Having been out of retail for three years now, I can still safely say that I relish every single weekend that I spend doing what I want to do with who I want, and I'm sure you guys will do too.
It makes such a difference having that kind of regularity in your life... and after all your hard work as a couple, it's the least you guys deserve.
*sniff* getting all emotional, and it's my first post on your diary... sorry!
Anyway just wanted to say, like so many others, that your diary is really inspirational, and that the way you deal with cash is so simple and straightforward... I mean, why didn't I think of splitting spending cash over the month so I knew what spending money I had each day?? It's bloomin obvious now!
Thank you sooo much for sharing your life with us.OH OD - £100.00/£100.00 Joint OD - £100.00/£100.00StepChange: £10,057.670 -

Welcome to the proverbial black hole that is my diary... black hole in the way that you get sucked in should you go anywhere near it... :rotfl:
Thank you for the kind words.... I hope I keep you hooked onto my regular ramblings in future and make you reading the whole thing worthwhile! lol!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

lol sorry guys had a busy evening yesterday which I'll tell you about in a min...
Ste's first day went really well.. he enjoyed it even though it's just an induction this week but he says it looks really easy once he gets used to the software etc. He said that in between calls they recieve they can browse the net or sit and have a cuppa at their desk... sounds like my kind of job! Apparently one of the women in the office has a thing for shooting rubber bands at people so Ste's looking into getting a proper rubber band gun... lol. He says they're all really friendly and it's really laid back.I promise I will update later when he gets in with how his 2nd day went.
The girls were fab last night. Both in bed by 8 and asleep. K woke up for a bottle about 10.30ish but then slept through til about 8 this morning except for waking a couple of times for her dummy. We didn't hear a peep out of Ash until this morning when she was chatting to Ste as he was on his way out.. lol. The only problem we have is that she trashes her room in the mornings once she wakes up.. lol.
The seperate accounts thing is going really well...There's enough in our old main bank to cover all the bills, and we've got £21 left in the living account to last us until tomorrow so looks like we'll be able to save some extra, I do need to get formula though so should be able to save £11 extra
There's £200.07 in the savings with £36.13 on it's way from paypal...
Ste spoke to one of the guys at work who started working around the same time in the month that Ste did and he said that he got paid for the full month rather than up to the 20th so fingers crossed Ste will get his normal wage and we'll have extra money..
If that's the case we'll have £368.20 saved by the end of the month plus any extra from the weekly budgets. The 'unconfirmed plan' is to treat ourselves to a new sofa as ours is in a right state and stinks from milk being spilt on it. We were given it free when we moved in and it's done us well but we REALLY need a new one. The budget will be £200 as we've seena couple of nice ones in the argos catalogue and what's left will be paid off Citi, so we should be able to get a new sofa AND get citi down to around £40 :T
oh and can I just quickly say that I LOVE EGG MONEY MANAGER.... it's so much simpler than having to log in to god knows how many internet banking accounts! I love it!
The reason I wasn't on much last night is because I *might* be in a band. I say might because I haven't met them properly yet as I met the guy online and spoke to him on MSN last night. I've shown him the vids on youtube I put up and had a good old natter last night and it's looking pretty good that he's going to regroup the band and get me involved on bass. He's sent me the tracks they have so I can work on them. They're all at uni which is why they're having a break at the moment because the practice rooms are at the Uni.
