I think it would be better all round if you took a break from debt busting until you get your childminding thing going. The tax credits are there for you guys to live on, and for a few weeks I think you should do just that.
I'm not sure a part time job would be the best thing right now. K still isn't sleeping through and you have a 2 year old to entertain. I would worry that with the extra work of going out in the evenings not only will you end up knackered but stressed and risk the PND raising it's head again.
I bet it will only be a few weeks until you get your registration, so how about a little holiday from all the budget stress until then? If there's money left over each week by all means shove it in the debt account, but I wouldn't tie myself in knots to put all of the tax credits away.:A

We won't be able to put the tax credits away I know that for a start as from now on we'll be living on them. I get £200 mat pay this month but after that nothing and the absolute maximum we'll be able to save is the child benefit if we're lucky... nightmare...Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

IA,
It takes about 5 months for registrations to come thru normally-I suppose you have what is needed already ie.CRB check etc but Ste will need one, and is your First Aid up to scratch and current?
I agree with toto...

I think Toto, tigs and bunny all make a good point, what with your matty pay ending and trying to sort out the CM and Ste swapping jobs it might just be too much at once to try and pay off things as well. Maybe just shove it all in the debt account what you would have paid off and let it build up and then it is there if you really need it. Does Ste's new job pay at the same time of month as HMV? You have done so well without coming up for air since October, I think it would be a good idea to ease up on the pressure on yourselves until you know where you are with things.0

I agree with Toto - very good advice given there. You've achieved so much already, a break from it won't do any harm at all. It's not worth getting ill or stressed over.
