Sorry, I'm talking bollox (again). I think it will be similar to my vetting whereby they ask you to sign a piece of paper stating that you have no objection to them viewing your medical records - which of course means, they may not neccesarily look at or consult anyone about your medical records. Lennyxx
I had to fill out a big long health declaration form and give it to my doctor to fill in part of it about whether he think's I am physically and mentally suitable. It had all sorts of questions about recent dr's visits, medication, treatment, past physical/mental illness etc etc and I was just completely honest. Hope the doctor will put that he doesn't put thay I'm not suitable.....
If his report is ok it's up to Ofsted's medical person to make the final decision.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

You are not alone. PND is not forever. It's a bit like a broken leg - it takes time to get over, but just as no one wears a pot forever, you won't be on ADs forever either."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

AND if they discriminated against every woman that has had PND, there wouldn't be many potential childminders left! I bet more women suffer from PND and go untreated than they realise...'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0 -
Morning Angel
I can't sleep - tossing and turning trying to sleep but head full of debt clearning, Ebay stuff and menu plans AAAGGGHHHH!!!!!
Thought I'd come on here and have just spent the last hour re-reading the first 7 pages of your diary and now feeling motivated again.
I'm taking inspiration from you all the way but panicking that we won't be able to manage by putting all the TC's and CHB into the debt clearing account and still survive - why oh why do I have to RELY on them to get by?
Just wanted to say that I think you're doing a fantastic job - just think, by this October (only 1 year on from when you first posted!) you'll be able to look back and reflect on what you and Ste have achieved. And God knows how little debt you'll have by then - maybe even some savings towards an early settlement on the secured debt too!
Go Sar!

Me again. Just had a thought. Have you ever seen the film Sliding Doors? The gist of it is "what way would your life go if you had made a different decision?" and it made me think about you and I.
Take one couple, low income, 2 young kids, debts, recently deceased parent, PND, OH who originally not fully on-board with plans. One decides to push ahead and tackle debt (YOU), the other dithers (ME). Let's now fast forward the film and see who comes up trumps. I don't want to be the ditherer any more so it would seem you have a "virtual twin", living in a slightly later parallel universe.
Sorry for my slightly odd ramblings - just thinking out loud - boy do I need some sleep!Decluttering junk and debt in 2016

If your doctor has any doubt I'm sure he/she will ask you to come in and talk about it. When I was getting registered (I am in Scotland so it was Care commission not Ofsted) my doctor asked to see me and we talked about it. There's a group on Yahoo (or there used to be) for childminders and they're very good. There's also copies of contracts, policies and procedures etc on there that you can print off.0

Morning all.
Just want to say thank you for all the kind replies. I've decided that I'm going to carrying on planning everything for the childminding. Worst case scenario is that they'll say no until I'm clear of the depression but I'll still have all the planning etc for when I can apply again in the future. Best case scenario I get registered and I'm prepared.
K's got her 2nd jabs this afternoon.... great that'll be fun. but on the plus side MIL is coming round to look after Ash while I take K. NOT looking forward to that.
Tc went in today and was £4 more than I was expecting! Strange.... ah well... £112.57 to add to the barclaycard fundBrings the total to £444 something.
so even with what we spent yesterday we should have about £907 at the end of the month :T
Got my dotty p's statement today.. nil balance! wooo! BUT the cheeky f**ks have upped my interest rate from 24% to 29.9%!!! Even more reason for me to tell them to stick it up their bollox and close the account
Just want to spend a couple of mins just saying how well Ste has done this month... He's his budget sheet..

Nice one Ste :T

Yes and the good part is you are working but still get to be there with your own children. Remember you would have to budget for meals, snack and outings etc but everything is tax deductable. a percentage of you rent, council tax, electricity and gas are also tax deductable as well as an allowance for wear and tear. You do need public liability insurance (very cheap) though and if you have accidental damage insurance that may go up slightly, Oh and your car will need to be insured for business use if you plan to take any minded children out in it.
I find it great though because like I say you're earning but it doesn't feel like you're working. Also you are qualified as a nursery nurse so I think parents will be falling over themselves to get a vacancy with you. I don't have any childcare qualifications yet.0
