How do we do it? Uhhh.... I think it's a combination of..

Ebaying everything that isn't tied down regardless of sentiment or rational thinking..
    Saving every spare penny
Going without treats unless budgeted for well in advance or sacrificing something else
    Strict budgets
Check, check and check again the banking/bills/budgets etc and keep track of EVERY penny.
Any extra money we get goes straight to towards debt

Ste says from the very beginning he hated every minute of it. HE was so used to going into shops and going 'Stuff it I'll buy that' and hated being essentially forced to change. But even he now can see how well we've done and is grateful for all the cut backs and sacrifices we've made.

Well that £11.81 was working tax credit so over to the debt account it goes. :D
Had my dr's check up this morning which all went well and he's given me another prescription. I also dropped in my health declaration form and apparently they charge £16 for my dr to spend 10 mins filling it out
Hopefully the PND won't stop me becoming a childminder... :undecided

I really hope the pnd wont stop you - it seems unfair that it would, because you are being treated for it, and it wont last forever. Lots of childminders are Mums too, and I find it hard to believe that NONE of them have ever had pnd. Glad your doctors appointment went well. Keep looking after yourself and try not to worry.

Make sure you get a receipt from the docs. You can use it as expenditure against any future earned income from childminding. :D

Honestly, the tax returns will be a doddle compared to your budgets! If you religiously keep EVERYTHING, and stay organised, you wont find them that bad. My childminder friend is not very good financially, but manages to struggle through them, so I'm sure you'll have no problem.

Good that you've got your repeat prescription - could i ask - how long will the new prescription last you? Will it be 2 or 4 weeks? I am currently on a repeat prescription every 2 weeks which is a little annoying!!

My old c/m had suffered from PND in the past so I don't think it necessarily rules you out! What's more important is the fact you're dealing with it I think.

Do you need anymore clothes etc for K? What size sleeping bag have you got after she grows out of this one? I've just found another one tht's 6-12 months if you think you'd use it? Been trying to be all flylady and rediscovered ten tonnes of 'stuff' - can't believe how much stuff I bought for DD!! No wonder i'm in so much debt!! :)
