I was close to my MiL years ago, until a disagreement between me and my SiL, and MiL took her side, and suddenly I was no longer welcome in their house, just hubby and kids. They never went.

Long story short, she forced hubby to choose between her and me and she lost, and we've not spoken for years now.

Awww... that is just so sad, especially as you got on so well. How could SiL make her do that, its really unfair.
I hate it when families break up like that. :(

    It's her loss aah hun.

She has missed so much of our children growing up, especially as they are her only grandchildren.

  • Hi IA. I've just had a go at HM bread doing it from scratch instead of packet mixes. I split the dough into two bits (per instructions on the yeast packet) and now have two teeny-weeny loaves!!!!! Honestly, they look more like giant bread rolls LOL!

Did you have a go at doing it from scratch?

As I keep saying to the kids - practice makes perfect - maybe I need to listen to my own advice eh?

    Afternoon all :hello:
Well guitar hero finished on £72 :D and the guys paid up :T Have also paid the ebay fees which were £10.91  but still waiting for the dress buyer to pay up.... grrr..

Last night we had a massive power cut that took out the whole village! Power was out for a good hour and we had no bottles done or anything.. nightmare! Ste and I took to playing candlelight monopoly while the girls slept through the whole thing. Luckily it wasn't out for took long but why do power cuts always happen at night?? Oh and I won monopoly :D

Childminding pre registration meeting went well... managed to find it this time which is always good! Got to all ask my questions and she went through what we have to do to become childminders. Going to fill in the forms tonight and get Ste to fill in a form as he lives here and then send them off and see what happens! :D

Hope everyone's well and you didn't miss me too much for the whole 16 hours I've been offline ;)
