Hi IA sorry you are having a hard time with k at the moment .Could possibly be that she is getting tired sucking before she has really had enough feed, have you thought about changing her bottle teats for ones with larger holes so she doesn't have to work so hard.
just a suggestion,
The baby rice could work too. One of my four was always a hungry baby.My Hv put him on tiny amounts of baby rice at 8 weeks and he settled better, never did him any harm - he is now 6 ft 2 and has size 14 feet so it was a sign of things to come:rotfl:
Hope you get k settled soon.

Hi IA
I measured the blackout curtains last night (they are actually a pair, not just a single curtain).
They are 51” / 130cm long ( I suppose ‘drop’ is the correct term) and each one is 66” / 168cm wide.
The width is adjustable as they have drawstrings at the top ( I used them to reduce the width to fit the window in DS's room).
Let me know if you want them.PigginSkint's debt free diary

DS was on SMA White from just about 6 weeks and I started him on rice (having cleared it with my GP) at 12 weeks. Even the HV (who would only agree to 4mths as she was very by the book) said he would never last past 4 mths and came and did the weaning talk early with me (although I had already had him on rice by then . He was sleeping through the night but we were dream feeding (see post on your other thread, and like Bunny I did what worked for me and won't hear against it but with us it was Baby Whisperer) but through the day he would be every 2 hours and he gobbled down huge amounts. He also started teething at that point with the fretting and slivering for Scotland but it would be another 2-3 mths before the little blighters appeared. I found Ashton and Parsons teething powders helped settle him but they don't work for everyone. Homeopathic you get them next to the Calpol in Boots and the like. I also found Medised better than Calpol alone for most things as it seemed to help him sleep (it has a decongestant in) and you can get it on presecription, I also got colic homepathic stuff on prescription so you might manage to get teething stuff as well if you ask, they had to order my stuff as it wasnt' held in the local chemist but I got it in a couple of days.0

Well I've been wondering whether to post about tomorrows pack up, since my husband is now off work till Tues next week (helping me get organised I hope;) ) and you've had a bad few days. I've just read lynz post though on your other thread and I agree with her about getting a routine going (something I struggle with too) and thought I will post and we can help each other, plus taking stuff from home will cut down that expenditure. So I know you froze Stes chicken the other day. Have you got it out, is there a big notice on the door saying 'forget at your peril'0

Sorry this is repeating what I've posted on the board but I wanted to put these in my diary so I can look back when things are looking up and appreciate things we've been through.Apologies if this turns into a complete moaning rant. Have had such a truly rubbish couple of days and am worried for my DFW sanity. Our 3 month old baby hasn't been herself at all and Dh and I have seemingly been constantly arguing. I'm exhausted as for the past god knows how many nights I've had to get up to our baby who's started waking up in the night again after sleeping through. It was my DH's turn to get up last night with her but even though our baby woke up twice, the first time I couldn't even wake him up to feed her which was at 2am... and then when she woke at 6.30am he has such a massive hissy fit because she kept fussing we argued and he ended up sleeping on the sofa leaving me to feed her again.
Today we went to finish our food shopping and ended up buying quite a few things we hadn't planned... a toilet training seat for our eldest which was an impulse buy... a blackout blind for one of our windows for our baby as well as a bumbo just out of desperation to be able to have 5 mins peace as our baby has suddenly started hating her bouncey chair and wants to be held all the time. So in one day alone we've spent nearly £60 on stuff that isn't budgeted for or planned and I'm worried that this is the start of a downward slope as the way I'm feeling right now I just want to say f**k it all and go on a massive spending spree to make myself feel better but I know I can't as we don't have the money. We've only got £200 in the band til my maternity pay goes in on the 10th and we've spent pretty much all of the money we'd started to save up to pay off our barclaycard.
None of this is helped by the fact I have postnatal depression but it just seems to be going downhill again as life is just so hard right now I don't know what to do. Part of me wants to run away and part of me wants to slap myself and tell myself to snap out of it.
Really sorry that this has turning into a massive moan... don't feel you have to reply or anything as I know I've probably bored everyone to death with my whinging.... sorry again.Hi everyone. Ste and I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone for all the kind words and support given to us both in my earlier thread. We think we've discovered why K has been so bad as it appears she's got a canine coming through and she's been in a lot of pain today. Ste says he's finally beginning to see the light and want to thank all of you for helping us both out with all the support and advice. It's been a tough day for both of us not just with K and we've done a lot of talking and hopefully things will be easier for us now we both know where we stand. Obviously we've got to take one day at a time with regards to the PND and k's teething. On top of the teething it also looks like she's getting some ecsema which can't be very comfortable for her either.
Money wise I'm going to relook at the budget tomorrow if I get the chance and K's ok as I need to start realising that our wellbeing comes before being debt free and I think selfishly that I was masking the PND by just submerging myself in a little cycle of money-debt-money-debt all the time.
Tomorrow's a new day and hopefully it'll be a better one all round. To say thanks I thought I'd leave you all with a picture of K enjoying her new bumbo.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Well he's having the chicken risotto/supreme that he forgot on monday  (it's defrosting in the fridge as we speak), some sandwiches which he's going to make up in the morning so they're fresh as well as a couple bags of crisps. He plans to spend nothing tomorrow except for £2 for parking.
Think I'm going to nick your idea about the notice on the door.. going to do put it up now.. might tweak it a bit though... will post a pick when I'm done.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
