Could you go out for a walk for half an hour.
The fresh air might help to relax you and there's a chance the girls would doze off (or at least get tired out) in the buggy.0 -
Oh dear. It does get better........ eventually. I used to contemplate just disappearing and booking myself in a hotel o/night with our cc just so I could get some sleep...never actually did it but thought about it a lot.:D
Me too, I have to say and considering how serious I have been about the idea I don't know quite how I managed not to go through with it:D Mind you my 2 year old slept to 10am on Saturday morning and 9.30 this morning so I can't really complain, don't know why but I am blaming all the outside play he has been doing these fine days so guess what he is doing again today?:rotfl:0 -
Ok IA,
I'm giong into bossy friend mode now-
1.Have you got a blackout blind for Kaitlyn/Ash's room? If not, get one NOW! They are waking up at half 5 because the sun is coming up...
2.
I will email my list of meals we eat, then you can do the same and we can get ideas that way
3. Start getting Kaitlyn to bed earlier-she should be asleep 7-7 (ok, I told you I was bossy!) Follow the SAME routine every night.I will give you my routine if you want but both mine were sleeping through 7-7 from 10 weeks (courtesy of the Contented Baby Book-lets not start a debate, it worked for me)
4. When Kaitlyn/ash are sleeping in the day GO TO BED! Get off the computer/list making/ddebt working out/shopping list and SLEEP
Ok?
Rant for you over I shall drive over with 4 little rug rats and FORCE YOU TO BED!

1. No. Ash has always slept brilliantly and never needed one and K sleeps ok during the day with out one? Might be worth a shot though...
2. Thank you kindly...I'm up to 19 so far...
3. We started her routine with the 7 til 7 thing and it worked for a week before she started waking up earlier and earlier...We tend to fit it in with her last bottle as she has them 3 hourly.... She's just had one so her last bottle should be around 7 tonight so we'll try giving her a bath and putting her to bed then like we did before... Ash was sleeping through 10-7 from 4 weeks and 7-7 from about 10... and I think this has been a bit of a culture shock for us tbh!!
4. I've tried. K rarely sleeps for long enough stretches so I just grab the odd 1/2 hr to slob on the sofa or something.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Sorry to go off at a tangent, but I have the exact problem, I can't stay awake!!
As soon as i sit down I fall asleep - if we go out you need to keep talking or I go off. Its awful. I feel like I have a mild form of narcolepsy.
God help us in Blackpool! IA will be buzzing and her number one minion will be zzzzzzing it!:rotfl:Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Hi IA
Sorry to hear you are having a tough time.
Re your hubby forgetting his lunch - does he have a bag that he takes with him to work at all? I make sandwiches for OH occasionally (when he is going to be out all day ) and he has a bag that he takes everywhere with him (we nickname it 'the office'!) so I just put the sandwiches in his bag for him to make sure he doesn't forget them.
Re the sleep deprivation, I have just taken a blackout curtain down in DS's room (he is 12 now) and was going to give it to the charity shop - would you like it? I'll measure it up when I get home to find out how big it is. PM me with your address if you would like it. I can post it to you if you like or if you are near enough you might like to come and get it as I am in Staffordshire as well. Let me know!PigginSkint's debt free diary
