Just a thought ... seeing as so many people here seem to have spare freezers I'm guessing its probably a general thing that quite a few people have them spare ... so how about putting an ad in your local newsagents window asking if anyone has a spare one in their garage they don't need anymore?? Even if you had to give them £20 or so it may be cheaper than the ebay one?? Then again, the ebay one is new ...
There seem to be loads on freecycle but my worry is if we get another one and that doesn't work we're going to have a store room full of freezers and nowhere to freeze our food! lol! The one on ebay will have a 12 month guarantee so at least we have that fail safe unlike with freecycle..

    Hi
your budget not working ouit towards the end of month might be because you are budgeting for 4 week month but in reality a month is 4.33 weeks.
how about dividing monthly budget by 4.33 aand see if it works out?

Have budgeting the same way as usual and divide by the number of days rather than weeks

They are covered... but for a £200 excess!

Well, you should be covered considering all that caviar you had just bought from Harrods a couple of weeks ago;)

    Hi
I have just read your diary from the begining, its taken me all day on and off - its made me laugh and made me cry, also made me read out things to OH - not the best of things to do as hes watching Match of the Day at the moment lol.
I think you have done great, no lets be honest, you done bleddy well girl! So need to say a few things as wanted to say them as I read, but hey that wouldnt have been any good cos I was reading months past! Was sooooo annoyed about the fridge, as we had one, only year old that we wanted rid of and we offered it to OH nephew and he took a month to pick it up, if I had read this before we would have delivered it to you!

Firstly awwwwwwww you have 2 beautiful girls, loved the pics, and albeit a bit late well done to Steve for passing driving test. Also wanted to butt in when I read about the ADs. I was on them for couple of years after my husband left me, it helped at the time, but came off them with no probs.
You are a great mum, at end of day when kids grow up the don't remember if they had loads of clothes, toys, expensive days out, my kids who are now 23 and 21 talk about days spent at the beach, making pizzas and things like that.

I'm a right lurker on this board cos I feel there for the grace of god, and a payout on an endowment go I. My OH was off work sick for most of last year and we got by on SSP and my wage, I know a lot of people moan about PPI but we were glad of it, it paid OH loan all the time he was off work. If I hadn't had that payout we would be so in debt by now. So I have great respect for how you are managing your debt.

I will now make a point of reading this every night, I can't do another marathon read!

Well we've had to buy a new freezer and got to take our food round to MIL's again. We put some bread in it 3 days ago and it's still not frozen so am just praying that the food will still be ok as some of it is slowly defrosting....

    *sigh*

Managed to get a brand new chest freezer off ebay for £49 which we're going to pick up tuesday. In the meantime out listings are finishing in the next couple hours so hopefully we'll get enough money to cover it otherwise we'll just have to use some of the dotty p's money.

Oh the bright side we're going out for a meal this afternoon with some of our friends who we haven't seen in absolutely ages at our local 2 for 1 place. Using the £2 coins tho. I hate it when things get this tight at the end of the month but if we weren't going to cradle it wouldn't be so hard. OH well.
