You missed SOAD  ! I am even trying to justify Download tickets because my children would love to see My Chemical Romance... ( they are 8 and 10) but it is so much money. As you can guess, there is no pop music type of entertainment in our household. The children will probably rebel against us by listening to Kylie Minoque or other top of the pops type of fayre.( quick, mom is not looking, lets sneak in 'This is what I call music 345' or whatever compilations there are).
Oh well, back to the reality, need to take the dog for a walk. Children currently in Finland being spoiled rotten by their Grandmother and Great Aunt, giving me a reason to eat their easter eggs....:p .

I do like a bit of My chemical romance. Love the new album. Kittie are supporting Cradle on the 26th but the new album is awful and all mainstream.
We have the cbeebies album for Ash and Kaitlyn... the rest of our music is all metal of varying genres.. from Ragga punk metal to death metal... we love it all! If you ever get a chance to see skindred live they're brilliant!

Ohhh, skindred, I will remember that. I have to confess, I like MCR too and it is such a good music to sing along with the kids. My god, is that the time!!! No wonder our dog is looking at me, must really go for a walk. Fresh air will be good, it was really busy at the CAB today, dealt with a debt case where my client had three carrierbags full of letters from various creditors. It took two hours just to put things on hold, I needed a cup tea after that.
Have a good evening IA, take care.

    Right you lot!
I am a nice normal looking mother of 2 and although I AM Canadian, I am also very 'British' (apparently 82% English according to a quiz, lol) BUT I will be more than happy to rush round to IA and give her a big shake-God woman! You are a wonderful and competent mother. Doctors are just full of !!!!!! and love to dish out prescriptions rather than constructive advice and help...(Says she on her second lot of happy pills in as many years, lol)

IA, have you tried Olive oil for K's cradle cap? I didn't realise it's a form of exzema, just found that out the other day...

I'll be back....(said in Arnie like voice)

  • E45 does a lovely job on my eczema and dermatitis, although I don't know if it works on cradle cap? Worth asking the HV maybe? (If that's a daft comment, in my defence I have no kids so therefore no clue on the infant side of itchiness)

Been having a good read through your diary IA and you are doing an absolutely amazing job, its totally inspirational the way you are paying off your debts.

Don't feel that the doctor or health visitor is doing you down for being a young mum, you get good and bad mothers at every age. My friends mum was 17 when she had her and 30 years ago that was a real big deal. She is one of the most together people I know and they have an amazing relationship. As for me I couldn't even keep my houseplants alive!

Regarding the hair dye I dye my own hair all the time. Providing you are not going too far from your natural hair colour you shouldn't have any problem doing it alone. Do a strand test first to check the colour and then section your hair off carefully to make sure you cover every inch. I just slap it on and then pin my hair back and wipe over the ears and hairline with toner to remove any stray dye. Loose dye on the scalp makes it look artificial so I dye my hair at night and give it it a good wash, really rubbing at the scalp, the nest day to remove the loose dye. Or else semi-permanent colurs are great and can brighten up how you feel. Its amazing how much better you feel after you spend half an hour pampering yourself in the bathroom.

    xx
